Ryougi Shiki (Early Stage)

I've seen all the movies and got a few figures, I thought about it every once in a while... I love this character and I should get a dollfie dream of her!

 

Character: Ryougi Shiki

Skin color: I think NS suits her best

Head: 07? Alisa? Youmu?

Body: DD Size with S Bust

Outfit: ?

Wig: ?

Eyes: ?

Face up artist: ? (I wish it could be Jadepixel!)

 

 

I'd be happy if you suggest me things or just discuss with me what could fit and what not!

 

This project, if I'll ever finish it, will last forever.. ;_;

An 07 does look like a pretty good match for her! Sinon might work too--she's got the upturned eyes and super pointy chin.

 

I agree she's an S bust, but haven't seen her in context enough to know if she's tall enough for a DDIII or not. I guess the question is: do you think she'd be the same height as Mariko, or taller?

 

As for eyes, you might be able to do something more common like Lizana or Arietta Project for her normal eyes, but definitely will need customs for the mystic ones. Ersa Flora's the usual go-to, but you may want to also talk to Somonul Studios: he's managed some eyes that glow in the dark!

 

Outfits are probably going to be hard, so I suggest finding one or two outfits that at least suit her personality in your eyes, so she has something to wear while you work on getting her some accurate stuff.

 

The wig should be relatively easy, I think: a short, straight bob in dark brown or black will likely do, and you can use some styling products to give the bangs some extra lift.

I think so too about the 07! I looked through all heads and those were the ones I thought fit the most. 07 the one that would be the most affordable.

After I looked through all head molds I searched this forum about Shiki and there was 2014 a thread where someone wanted to build her too! Sadly the pictures are all gone. I think they used an 07 Head aswell.

Also, there was a gorgeous custom on flickr - with also an 07 I guess.

About Sinon, while yes, the eyes and chin could fit - I think she has too chubby cheeks. Her Head is too "cute" for mature Shiki.

 

Thank you for agreeing me with the S-Bust! I'm super bad at guessing chest sizes. Most of the girls I think would be a S are a M by Volks.

For her height, I compared her with my Ranka Lee because she is a DDS. Ranka Lee's character size is 156 cm while Shiki is 160 cm tall. Also, from the same Universe Aoko Aozaki is 163 cm, her body is a DD, and Alice Kuonji is a Dollfie Dream Sister with a height of 152cm. So I guess a DD Body would be the best choice. I forgot how tall Shiki is, haha. For my other dolls, Mariko and Melty, I didn't find their real height, sadly.

 

What do you think with the skin color? I think the one from the other thread wanted her to be a SWS, but I don't think she is that pale.

 

For the eyes my first thought was Ersa Flora as well, because they'll do custom designs and so on. I'm going to look at Somonul Studios, I didn't hear from them yet. Glow in the dark eyes for the Death Perception Eyes would be wonderful! The photoshoot options! Ahh!

 

Outfits will be really hard.. on the other Thread there was a cool one on taobao... but I think it's gone. Basics, especially her home attire (haha) would be perfect while I gather her Kimono and Default Outfit.

 

For the wig, I'm undecided If I'd take Black or Brown, I own both Kimono Figures from GSC and Kotobukiya and both have a different hair color, while I think the GSC one is more "in character". That would be black than. hmm.. Thank you for the Leeke Wig Link! I think that could be a good choice aswell, it would need styling though. My BF said it is too long. Gonna look through other shops

Shiki was recently in Fate/Grand order as a free Event servant! Her hair was definitely a dark brown in the art!

I agree that 07 is a great choice for Takeuchi's art style, I was thinking it would work for Luvia Edelfelt as well, since it's so similar to the Tohsaka Rin sculpt!

 

If you wanted to do Void Shiki, Volks made a lot of really nice and ornate kimono sets.

Definitely easier to trim a wig that's a bit too long than try to deal with one that's too short, though! The darkest blacks can be hard to photograph, but as I recall Leeke's "natural black" is in fact a ridiculously dark brown. Pitch black might be a limited with them? But yeah, natural black isn't a pitch/blue-black.
