I got a Miku DD last month and she is my first doll and now I want to get her some new hands and I want them to be the same size as the ones that came with the doll. So I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can tell me if the hands that came with the doll are the normal or large size and if possible have pictures to compare the normal and large sizes.

Miku comes with DDII-H-01-SW and DDII-H-04-SW, which are the small-sized hands.

 

The "big" versions of those hands are DDII-H-01B-SW and DDII-H-04B.

 

So you want to shop for hands that don't have "B" in the name.

Miku also had a line of custom hands, but unless Volks decides to re-release them at some point you would have to search after-market to find them.

Thanks for the replies! I'll go normal size then. The only difference for the custom Miku hands are the nail color from what I can see and I am fine with just some regular hands. Although it would be nice if Volks did re-release them again.

I'm sure you can also paint the nails, but you'd have to match the color on your own.

 

I have a set of large hands. They don't look too out of place on DIII's, but they are definitely too big for a DDS. At least to my taste. They have more detail which is nice, but I rarely ever use them.

True I can paint the nails but I probably won't. I want the hands to be able to be swapped around when I get more dolls and I don't want the hands to look odd for a DDS I plan to get like you said

It is definitely nice to have a large set of hand poses to swap around. I do plan on getting some nails done for a few of my IM@S girls, but those hands would become dedicated to use in the color scheme of a specific doll.

Oh sorry when I said it's nice to have a "large set of hands" I meant it's nice to have many hands in varying posses. The hands I have are all small except for two pairs of large which I rarely use.

I know this is a bit old, but Volks USA has Miku hands if you still want some. Most of them are out of stock right now, but they said on their facebook they're going to restock a bunch of stuff again tomorrow.

 

My Miku doesn't come until tomorrow, but I had ordered her 3 sets of big hands since some people think they are better for photography. One of the sets I got was "grabbing hands" and I have that cooking set that comes with the knife, leek, etc. It holds them really nicely, I'm not sure if the smaller hands would hold them as well.

Folks on Ebay are selling Miku's hands, although they can be pricey (like $62 a pair).
