Reissues of the dream dollfies

I am very new to dolls, just bought the mini Dollfie Illya a few days ago. And then I saw the volks site had a event with her (didnt make it on time and bought her on mandarake)

 

I wanted to ask, how often the dollfie dreams (like saber lily which I totally need) are beeing sold again? Does it make sense to wait for that?

 

By the way: How to write dollfie dream on japanese, so I can search on yahoo?

 

P.S. I am searching for a saber dollfie lily head. I am paying a good price, if someone has it. Or if someone saw it anywhere, I would be thankful. I know there is one for 2500$ on mandarake. But that is really high.

Almost never.

 

Only a few dolls have ever been re-released; many only had one release and it seems like they may never have another one. Other dolls had HUGE gaps between releases.

 

For example, the first Rin Tohsaka came out in 2009. She wasn't re-issued until 2015 -- six years later. The re-release also had a completely different face-up, eyes, outfit, wig, etc. The only thing that was the same was the head mold (even the body changed, from a DDII to a DDIII). So, even if a doll is re-released, you may not like the new version because it may look totally different.

 

Unless Volks has already announced or hinted at a specific re-release of the doll you're looking for, it doesn't make any sense at all to wait. You could be waiting years -- or forever -- depending on the doll.

Try ドルフィードリーム and add セイバーリリィ for Saber Lily. "DD" is is also a helpful keyword. I saw a Super Dollfie on Yahoo Japan Auctions once for close to $10,000. I can't recall which one, but I was pretty shocked.

 

$2500 should get you a used Saber Lily full set in good condition, and not just a head. NIB she would be $3000 - $5000. Definitely check Yahoo Japan Auctions or Mandarake before buying on Ebay. The lowest I have seen her full set on Mandarake for was around $1800 and that one needed some repair work.

 

Unfortunately her head is about the most expensive part of her set you can buy as a split. I usually see them in the $1500 range. Her face sculpt is one of Volks best.
