Hi, I have some questions

 

As I always messed up the volks release date, when will the upcoming Miku's schoolgirl outfit be available for purchase online? I thought it was somewhere in may but after see-ing the release of volks hair teezers, I want to double comfirm as I thought they will be released at the same date.

 

2nd question, about eyes, you know eyes like saber alter v2/Rise (P4) they have the "blank" type of eyes looks to me, what is the type of eyes in the volks store?

The "Miku Ribbon Girl" outfit is part of Dolpa 35, and we don't have After Event information yet.

Eventually they'll add "Dolpa 35 After Event" to the Event Schedule and then you'll have your release information.

 

The "Tangle Teezer" is a totally unrelated item (and it's not even a Volks exclusive, you can buy it from other places). The "Tangle Teezer" is already available for sale on the Volks site.

Saber Alter and Rise both have limited eye styles that were only available with those dolls -- simply put, you can't buy their eyes in the Volks store.

For a "blank" look, you might want to consider the P-type or M-type. The L-type would also be a good option, but they're not available through the Volks store.

I think Rena, who uses the DDH-01 head, takes 20mm.

 

So probably 20mm if you want a more focused look or 22mm if you want more wide-eyed dreamy?

Yup, right on target. I've got lots of 01 girls and depending on how I want them to look, I use different sized eyes.

 

For example, I went with 22mm eyes on Umi because she's an MDD and needed that wide eyed cute look.

This also worked on my DDS girl Mamimi.... she also uses 22mm eyes.

Since Manami is older and mature, I used 20mm eyes in her for that look.

Kino, another of my MDD girls, also uses 22mm eyes. In the following photo, she's the one on the far left. But next to her is my modded 01 head Bud. Her eye sockets were made larger and she's using 24mm eyes. Both Kino and Bud use the same shape and color Volks Animetic eyes but you can see how different they look when they're right next to each other like this.

My Mitsuki is an unaltered 01 wearing the same style eyes as Billy's Kino, but in 24mm. The result is that very little white shows, but a bit still does, and that the tops of the eyes are partly hidden inside her head.

However I think this only works with these particular eyes because they are so straight sided, rounder oblongs would fill the entire space.

Yes, the after-event will be a clickwar on Volks International. The items will become available (an add to cart button will show up) at the appointed time, and the fastest X people to click it get the item.

 

Volks' site will be crawling slow as it always is during events, so reloading pages to get that button is hit or miss. It's an adventure to participate in!

Usually it's 10am or 11am JST, depending on the event. The time will be posted on the Dolpa AE page and probably Volks' front page too.
