tubatime1010 Posted November 1, 2011 I have had my Miu for a couple of weeks now and I still for the life of me cannot figure out how her headband attaches. The thing is just a cloth wrapped piece of metal. It came in a bag attached with some plastic paperclips to a hunk of cardboard. Nothing else. My new Tartan outfit's hat came with mini hairpins so I thought maybe I missed those in the box or something...but nope. There are no holes in the headband or in her wig. There are however areas where the hair has been pre-"crimped" in order to give her the "antenna"-bangs look when the headband is inserted below them. The band also does not reach far enough to rest on her ears. Anyone have a Miu who would like to shed some light on this for me? I could post some pictures tomorrow if needed. Galvatim Posted November 1, 2011 The metal is flexible, just bend it to fit securely to her head. My Mari came with a similar head band, I've used it a few times and it's fine.
mitsuki Posted November 1, 2011 I think it is supposed to work like Galvatim says.
LoveLily Posted November 21, 2011 I had the same problem! For the life of me, I could NOT get that headband to work! I bent it perfectly and still it would not stay! I tried attaching string to it, rubber bands, hairpins. . .nope, didnt work! I got so frustrated that I gave up! Its a flaw in her default outfits design I think. Volks had to have cheated in their promo pictures of Miu because that headband does not work AT ALL! I ended up selling her default wig and I threw in the headband for free! (I did explain to them the difficulties I had. . .I wonder if she was able to get it to work??) Good luck to you! If you figure it out, I would love to know how you did it! tubatime1010 Posted November 27, 2011 I got in to stay in for a very short period of time. You have to make sure her "antennae" are set above the band and that the curls on the sides stay below it. The wig almost ends up supporting the band. After finally getting it to work I realized I like her better without it. I'll bet Volks got it to stay because they didn't have to really worry about ruining the wig since they have thousands of them...so maybe it was even glued in. If you look at the pictures of my Miu I have relaxed her hair a little simply by combing out the "drill" curls on the sides and working the little patches of glue that denote her "antennae" until they were all but gone. I've modified the wig, sure...but I like it better...and I never plan on selling her
