How long does Kaleidoll take on their shipping?

Hello all, so April 29th I bought some eyes from Kaleidoll, when I tried to check on the shipping it doesn't show. I have emailed them but they haven't responded, it's been a week and I'm kinda worried. Has anyone bought from them and has it took a week or even longer to get your eyes home?

I believe there's been a few national holidays in the first two days of May? Probably caused a delay in processing. I hope you'll get a reply soon.

I haven't ordered directly from them, but when I have ordered through a proxy their shipping has always been fast. Even a sweater I ordered that was in an out of stock color shipped in a few days instead of the month they said it would take.

 

Their stuff is well made, and in my experience they are a good dealer. Definitely a merchant I would give repeat business to.

Oo I see, I have seen their shop on taobao and the items do look well made. Might have to buy something from there, and luckily I received an email today saying their office was on holiday and they'll ship my eyes next week! Yay~ ^^

I bought a pair of eyes from Kaleidoll like, a month ago? I bought them from their international site, and didn't have a very good experience...^^; They took a long time to ship it out, like, close to 2 weeks so I was getting worried. And when they did ship it out, they didn't notify me. Luckily I was refreshing my order page like every other day lol.

I received the eyes in the mail close to 2 weeks later, and I was disappointed to see that the eyes weren't shiny - they had a lot of glue-ish residue. These were eyes for my first ever DD so I was upset the eyes didn't look good. The eyes were also $10 but shipping cost like $20...was expecting good eyes. Luckily I found online that using paint thinner can remove the residue off the eyes. This worked pretty well and most of the residue came off so now the eyes look much better. But I wish I didn't have to have my faceup artist go through this extra work. I hope your eyes come in good condition!! Without the residue though, WDS eyes have a shine to them and are beautiful.

 

Fast forward to a couple days later, I decided that I wanted a pair of shoes and an outfit from Kaleidoll. After my experience on their international website, I decided to order from their Taobao shop using a proxy (Taobao Focus) this time. I was at first skeptical to order because the outfit was very pricey for an outfit, and the shoes seemed kind of pricey too. However I have heard that their apparel quality is very good, so I bought them.

I ended up buying a white dress w/ gold buttons and white bow, and a pair of black and white canvas-ish shoes.

 

Taobao focus sent me pictures of my order close to a week later (Already much more efficient than ordering internationally!). Everything looked great except...the dress. The dress looked just like the pictures on the site, except it had a PINK bow instead of a WHITE bow. Minor details like this really bother me...I wanted an all-white dress. I don't like how they didn't stick to their pictures.

 

I received my item from my proxy about a week later, and upon opening, my items were packaged in a nice box but everything smelled of HEAVY perfume. I don't get why they do that. I threw out the box and left the clothes out for a while. The scent wore off after about a week. Scary.

The dress looked very nice on my DD except the chest area was kind of off. And the pink bow lol.

Yesterday I finally tried on the shoes on my DD. The inside sole of the shoe is white, but the other areas are black. They showed signs of staining, no surprise really. I'm going to line the insides with duck tape and put socks on my DD. The shoes look very pretty though.

 

After my experience, I can say that I'll definitely never order from Kaleidoll's international site, and when I do want to order from them, I will use a proxy and order from their Taobao. I'll probably only order eyes or shoes (light colored!) in the future. Probably will stay away from the clothes as they are expensive and I didn't get exactly what was shown in the pictures. I spent close to $100 on just the outfit and shoes so I wanted what I ordered. Again I could've been just really unlucky. Maybe they ran out of white ribbon, lol. I think they definitely care more about their Taobao orders than their international orders though, and besides their English isn't perfect.

 

I hope this lengthy review was helpful, and that you receive your eyes in good condition! If there's residue, try paint thinner and a cotton swab.

Oddly enough every box I have received from my proxy - I use Taobaofocus - has smelled of perfume. It's possible they just tend to use boxes that contained perfumed goods for doll stuff because the size is good. My wigs from CLS and ForU come in a box that was so heavy with the scent that it permeated my whole apartment and it was definitely the box that was the source not the wigs. It reeked of the stuff and the wigs only smelled slightly of it.

Maybe. I can only speak to my own direct observations, and without ordering items from the same shop through a different proxy to see if they had the same scent I can't for certain.

Interesting. I wonder if that is a common practice with Taobao doll merchants then. I always order from multiple merchants and the packages always smell heavily of something fragrant like perfume or potpourri.

 

In any event even if she does store them with dried flowers she still makes great stuff. At least in my experience,

Uhm... so i bought 2 pairs of eyes yesterday on their website kaleidoll and already paid for it but the status still shows "waiting for payment" and i've also emailed the shop yesterday but has no reply although it should already be their opening hours(?) Then i saw this thread and i noticed that the email got changed?

As long as the email you sent to went to kaleido.j@hotmail.com, it should be fine.
