Magnolia Gardens doll meet pics

Our local doll group got together for an outdoor meet before it starts to get miserably hot down here in SC and we went to one of the plantations for some nice flower photos with our dolls. We had quite a few people show up and the weather was pretty nice.

 

Since it's a plantation, there are some animals around. Off in the distance are some miniature horses and a donkey.

Since we planned to do lots of walking I only brought one girl this time to make it easier on me. Here's Akane all ready to go.

The owner of the kitties just got her first DD, a very pretty 06 girl named Nana. She also got herself some Peach Pai Plus!

After everyone showed up, we started our garden walk. First up was this pond.... covered in algae. Ick.

Next we hit up the greenhouse to see the more tropical plants and flowers. There were lots of orchids inside along with various other plants. We took a few pics of the girls inside but it was so hot and humid in there, we got out after about 10 minutes.

Out along the riverbank they have a boat that used to carry cotton, rice and other goods back in the day. It's under a covered area so it doesn't rot.

I saw this statue way out in the woods, not on the path at all. Why it was kind of hidden and not taken care of is a mystery. It was covered in moss and lichens and looks like it's been ignored for a long time.

The famous white bridge out here. Lots of people get married out here in the gardens and when they do, they always get photos taken on this bridge. It's been on TV shows, in calendars and is quite famous.

We try and do this meet at the gardens every year and this time was very nice. I heard the very first one of these was horrible and nicknamed "The Dollie Death March". Something about people carrying resins all over in 90 degree heat with no water to drink...

It was lots of fun! That outfit is from Volks and shows up sometimes on Mandarake. It's adorable, I have one for my MDD girls too.
