baldylox Posted May 7, 2016 Our local doll group got together for an outdoor meet before it starts to get miserably hot down here in SC and we went to one of the plantations for some nice flower photos with our dolls. We had quite a few people show up and the weather was pretty nice. Since it's a plantation, there are some animals around. Off in the distance are some miniature horses and a donkey. DSC_0002 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr And of course there are peacocks all over the place. DSC_0001 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0003 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Since we planned to do lots of walking I only brought one girl this time to make it easier on me. Here's Akane all ready to go. DSC_0004 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr This was her first outdoor meet so she had a good time meeting new people and checking out everything. DSC_0005 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr We can't have a local meet without Cocoa so here she is with her demon mask in tow. DSC_0006 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr One of the newer members brought along these ADORABLE little kitty resins! They take 8mm eyes! DSC_0009 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr This one liked the warm spot it found on Akanes boobs. XD DSC_0011 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr The owner of the kitties just got her first DD, a very pretty 06 girl named Nana. She also got herself some Peach Pai Plus! DSC_0010 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Her outfit was really nice too, it looked like a cross between a long flowing gown and a kimono. DSC_0015 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr There was only one resin girl this time around but she had a Sheryl as a sister. DSC_0012 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr There was also only one resin guy this time too. He was VERY tall and slender.... more on him later. DSC_0013 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr And we had this totally cute little MDD show up too! DSC_0014 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr After everyone showed up, we started our garden walk. First up was this pond.... covered in algae. Ick. DSC_0016 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Next we hit up the greenhouse to see the more tropical plants and flowers. There were lots of orchids inside along with various other plants. We took a few pics of the girls inside but it was so hot and humid in there, we got out after about 10 minutes. DSC_0017 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane checking out some orchids. DSC_0018 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0019 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr This one's a climber! DSC_0020 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0021 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr This one's..... not very good at climbing... DSC_0022 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr A few more girls showed up late so I didn't get pics of them out with the others. Both are 01 girls and the MDD is a Rena. Both are super cute. DSC_0023 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane at the little pond. DSC_0024 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0025 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0026 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0030 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0031 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0032 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0033 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0035 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Look! A little monkey in a tree! DSC_0038 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Back across the slime bridge... DSC_0039 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr "This pond is really gross. They should clean it up and make it prettier." DSC_0041 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Out along the riverbank they have a boat that used to carry cotton, rice and other goods back in the day. It's under a covered area so it doesn't rot. DSC_0042 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr "These are big barrels! Look how tall it is compared to me!" DSC_0043 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Resin guy - "The barrels don't seem too tall to me." Akane - "WHAAA?" DSC_0044 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane - "But you're HUGE!" Resin guy - "I'm not huge. I'm just the right size." Akane - "No, you're friggin huge. My databanks don't show ANY previous dolls being as large as you so you are an anomaly. A HUGE anomaly." DSC_0045 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Another shot of pretty Nana. DSC_0046 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr I'm so bad with names. This cutie was all over the place. DSC_0048 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Cocoa found a pond not covered with algae. She's standing in some cypress knees. DSC_0050 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane takes a break on the bridge. DSC_0051 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0053 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr More exploring to be done! DSC_0055 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0056 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0058 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Oh look, a Cocoa-Nut tree. DSC_0059 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane finds some flowers right on the riverbank. DSC_0060 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0061 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr "Look Papa, this one is the same color as my eyes!" DSC_0062 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0064 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr This is the back of the main house seen from the rivers edge. DSC_0065 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Turn around 180 degrees and you have the Ashley River. DSC_0066 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane resting again. DSC_0067 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Cocoa always runs ahead and waits on us to catch up. DSC_0071 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Sometimes she hides and jumps out at us to scare us. Silly girl! "ROOWWWWRRRRRR!" DSC_0072 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane also walked ahead of us sometimes. DSC_0074 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Oddly, when I put her here for this picture, the sun was behind clouds. When I walked away and then turned around to get the shot, the sun came out and shone down right on the spot where Akane was. It was cool how it lit her up like this. DSC_0075 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0076 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Heading into the swamp garden area. Lots of little foot bridges back here. DSC_0077 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0080 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0081 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0082 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0083 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr More swampy area. DSC_0086 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane copies Cocoa and goes climbing in some vines. DSC_0087 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0088 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr After a VERY long walk, we finally found the lookout tower. DSC_0089 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr There was tons of marshland out there. But wait, what's that in the center of the photo? DSC_0091 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Why hello Mr. Gator! DSC_0090 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr We took a break up top since the wind felt really nice. DSC_0092 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Rena and Aoi came up too. I can't recall the Aoi's real name but she was too cute with her pouty looks. DSC_0094 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0095 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane lounging on a large oak that was leaning over the marsh. DSC_0096 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0097 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0098 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0099 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Tiny kitty on a cypress knee! DSC_0100 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Along the way back to the main house was this bamboo forest. Akane wanted to see ninjas but I had to explain you don't see a ninja until it's too late. And that's if you're lucky. DSC_0101 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0102 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0103 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Another bridge, this time with a tree right thru the middle of it! DSC_0105 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0106 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0107 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0108 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr "Come on Papa! I'm over here! Let's go! HEEEYYYY! OVERRRR HEREEEEE!" DSC_0111 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Over in the bamboo area, Sheryl was taking climbing lessons form her pet tree sloth. DSC_0112 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr I think those lessons are going to take a LONG time tho. DSC_0113 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Nana looked awesome in the bamboo with that outfit. DSC_0115 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Akane at another pond. DSC_0116 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0117 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr I saw this statue way out in the woods, not on the path at all. Why it was kind of hidden and not taken care of is a mystery. It was covered in moss and lichens and looks like it's been ignored for a long time. DSC_0118 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Cocoa and Akane hanging out while we took a break near the garden maze. DSC_0119 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr The front of the main house. DSC_0120 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr The famous white bridge out here. Lots of people get married out here in the gardens and when they do, they always get photos taken on this bridge. It's been on TV shows, in calendars and is quite famous. DSC_0121 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr The main house again with a small garden out in front. There's a gift shop underneath it. DSC_0122 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr One of many tiny paths around the house. DSC_0123 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr That path lead us to this small gazebo where we got all the dolls that attended together for a group photo. DSC_0124 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0127 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr DSC_0132 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Tiny kitties! Nyaaa! DSC_0133 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr Outside the gift shop sat this guy. He had it made! All he had to do was sit out there and lounge around. People were always talking to him and petting him.... he got tons of attention. DSC_0134 by Billy Bennett, on Flickr And that was it! We had a great time and will be back again next year! Thank you for looking! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

baldylox Posted June 7, 2016 Thank you everyone! Sorry it took me so long to reply. We try and do this meet at the gardens every year and this time was very nice. I heard the very first one of these was horrible and nicknamed "The Dollie Death March". Something about people carrying resins all over in 90 degree heat with no water to drink...
