Jess-kane Posted May 17, 2016 Hey fellow collectors! I'm Jess and I've been in the bjd hobby for about 7 years now. I joined DOA in 2009 and did a lot of researching on the hobby. I got my first doll in 2010. Back then, I only collected resin dolls. I really enjoyed the hobby for a while and I had an amazing local bjd group! About two years ago, I started loosing interest. Much of the community's behavior was disappointing and off putting. Also around that time, my anxiety/depression (sorry if that's tmi) also decided to start giving me trouble again. I stopped going to meet ups with my dolly friends and sold most of my dolls. (I kept a couple of my favorites ". Anyways!...while I was on hiatus from the hobby, I started expanding my anime figure collection. I have around 300 now...O_O. The figure community is awesome and it helped introduce me to Dollfie Dreams! I love them so much! They're like the best of both worlds for me! I want to try and keep my DD family small, unlike my Resin family. I rather spoil just a few. At the moment, I have two girls. My adorable DDh-06 girl, Hotaru and my MDD 01 mod. ( no name yet, but has the most precious "cat" face modded and painted by Lightlybattered on DOA!). I'm excited to get back into the hobby . I'm always looking for some new dolly friends so feel free to message me! If you're in southern Georgia, it would be fun to have a meet sometime. Compared to many on MyFigureCollection.com, my collection is quite small XD. I have a room dedicated to my hobbies and I'm almost out of space!
