Smart doll hands on a DD body?

Recommended Posts

Nikn

Hi!

Just as the title says, I'm curious about how smart doll hands look on a DD body, since the new ones that Danny Choo is going to put up for sell look quite interesting.

(It would be NS SM hands on a NS DD body, since the others colours just don't fit xD)

Same, I've been curious about that too.

The pegs are different sizes (as per baldylox's comparison thread) so swapping might not be common unless someone was up for doing intensive mods with tape or sugru.

I hope it's okay to bump this up. I want to ask about the opposite--would it be possible to put DD hands on a smart doll body? I know the wrist pegs that fit into the arms are different between smart doll and DD, but would it be possible to fit *just* the DD hands on Smart Doll hand/wrist parts?? It's still a ways off, but I'm considering getting some large DD hands for a smart doll boy.. if it can work.

If the openings at the wrist are similar I don't see why it wouldn't be possible but you never know..

Already done that. Check here: viewtopic.php?f=51&t=10585

Scroll down about halfway and you'll see what DD hands work and which ones don't.

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

Oof, I feel really silly now for completely missing that.. But thanks a lot Billy, it's really helpful! From what I remember, a lot of the large DD hands have openings that are a little bit larger than the regular sized ones so it may be too loose on Smart Dolls after all without modifications.

(Also, putting rare earth magnets in the hand/wrist frame is ingenious! Here I was thinking that I'd have to find tiny magnets to fit into several pairs of hands to have magnetized hands.... )
