K-2 Posted March 16, 2018 The long story of the staining goes like this. Kizuna's bust showed slight indents where the "lip" of the balloon had been. At this point there was no sign of staining. Rather than use the hair drier to heat the vinyl to remove the indents, I went for the hot water method to be able to heat both back and front of her bust evenly. I microwaved about a quart of water for 3 minutes. The water was steaming but not boiling. Kizuna's bust was removed and submerged for about 7-10 minutes. The stain appeared after the submersion. It shows all areas that were in contact with the latex, including the line around her neck from the pink halter. At this time there is no sign of staining on her torso so I'm going to leave it alone. It was on the surface of the vinyl, and the heat caused the vinyl to expand, making the pores bigger to allow the stuff to fit in. Try washing with cold soapy water before the hot water? I don't think it was the shine product as there were marks that appeared around her neck where the pink and gold halters had been, but where there was no shine applied. It was on the surface of the vinyl, and the heat caused the vinyl to expand, making the pores bigger to allow the stuff to fit in. Try washing with cold soapy water before the hot water? The hot water bath was solely to relax the deformations in the vinyl caused by the tight seam of the balloon. I had started with the hair drier but that was taking too long, which is why I switched to the hot water bath. Right now her torso shows no signs of staining and has not been exposed to the hot water bath. Nearest I can figure it is something that leached from the latex of the balloon but didn't become visible till it was exposed to the hot water (not the heat alone).
