sierra13 Posted June 18, 2016 I got the saddle stand from Cool Cat and I'm pretty happy with it so far. It's stable on hard surfaces. It does wobble on a sheepskin rug, but with some balancing it can be made more stable. If I were to do it differently, I would get the Volks metal stand, drill a hole in the rug, put the stand underneath the rug and feed the rod through the hole. Can't do that with the Cool Cat stand. The other issue I had known beforehand is the 22mm main shaft that very much limits the doll to upright standing poses. So when I ordered the stand, I asked Cool Cat to swap the 22mm main shaft with the 17mm one plus a 5mm extension rod, and they did it for the same price. This turned out to be a good decision. The shorter stand is necessary for making slightly kneeling poses, and the extension rod can be added if ever needed.
