wotafarce Posted June 6, 2016 Hi, I am wondering if any of the people on this site have ever had a reason to remove their girls ears. I have a Fox eared wig for my girl that has two large ears, she has two of her own ears, so now she has four. I was wondering if it was possible to remove her actual ears or would it possibly leave holes in the side of her head? This is a serious question, I have actually stopped to think first which is unusual, thought I had better ask before I attack her with my Dremel Grateful for any information you may have. Many thanks.
Eustia Posted June 6, 2016 I think it may slightly vary by head mold, but it may be possible to sand off the majority of the ear without breaking in to the head cavity; just have a look inside the head and check how deep the dimples are, I guess. Most of my girls are mimis, but I simply cover the ears on their heads with their hair. Works well enough for most. A few canonically have the four ears, so it doesn't bother me on those ones. Kumi Posted June 6, 2016 +1, just look inside the head, if there is enough vinyl at the sides You can do it. I looked inside the spare DDH-06 in the drawer and think, that in her particular case it would leave holes so I wouldn't sand it flat. YMMW
wotafarce Posted June 6, 2016 Thanks for the info, I have popped the top of her head and there do appear to be fairly big dimples where the ears are so it looks like its a no go to fully remove the ears, and I don't want to have sort of lumps on the side of her head either where the ears would have been, oh well just have to style the hair over the ears then.
