I just ordered my first DD yesterday!!! *squeal of happiness* I've been reading up on DDs for a while now and finally just bought her from VoksaUSA..I'm kinda apprehensive but I can't wait to see and hold her Any advice or protips would be cool hahaha :3 We saw the world as children The field filled with light When did we stop believing The things before our sight? What will she be like, how will her personality emerge as I work on her? These are the things that made me go with just buying a head and body! Questions: Soo...do I have to use MSC? D: Cause I bought Krylon spray and I've been using that on my resin ladies. is this not okay for DDs?? *worried* @LoveAngel Congratulations! Poofiemus Posted November 6, 2011 Ooh, I don't know about Krylon. I know from experience that Testor's doesn't get along well with vinyl though. What you might do is go get a My Little Pony (which are also made of vinyl) and spray that with the Krylon, so if it does react you're not out too much. What happens with the Testors is that it reacts weirdly with the vinyl, so it creates this sticky film that never dries. If this describes your test subject after 12 hours, then you'll know to stay away from the Krylon. If the Krylon reacts, then you will have to get Mr. Super Clear or the Volks Zokeimura spray, which are both safe for vinyl (and, incidentally, polymer clay, which is chemically related to vinyl apparently). Just make sure wherever you get it from is in the US, as there are apparently weird shipping restrictions on international spray can sales, I guess because they're flammable. Custom girls are a load of fun, and I'm glad my first girl was a custom. ^_^ I've had loads of fun making her custom clothes and hunting down and/or making funky props for her character. So, welcome! Halcyon Posted November 7, 2011 Welcome, Pumpkins! Make yourself at home~! One advice, huh? Let's see... keep the room that your musume lives in well ventilated. If there are flowers just outside the window, keep the window closed to prevent pollen from getting on your girl's delicate skin, and don't put flowers next to your girl. A well ventilated room will keep dust and other small particles from building up, which in turn will reduce the frequency of you washing your girl's wig(s). Yes, the pollen from flowers and other plants will stain. It's unfortunate, indeed. Like you, I wanted plants (especially roses) in my room as well.
