DD Fes 2016 - Ltd Preorder announcement Soon

Thanks. I am not sure what the original generation age of CCS and Sailor Moon would be, but since it is the 20th anniversary of CCS I can guess.

 

That would be me in my late 30's, as they came out while I was in high school. SM and CCS are the two shows that got me into anime, and I've been hooked ever since.

 

Same here (in my 20s here though) I grew up watching anime and it helps that my parents are huge Japanophiles!

 

I was watching Sailor moon at 5 and CCS at 9. I never was a fan of Sailor Moon though but CCS....IT'S MY FAVORITE!!! if the new pre order doll is Sakura I will cry, have a heart attack, die and then come back to life!

 

If Volks makes a Syaoran DDS boy....

 

It's TOO GOOD to be true!! so I don't want to be hopeful until I see it.

 

I can't make another investment, DDS Len is my last one for this year, I really can't afford another doll so I selfishly hope is not Sakura!

Besides pokemon(which never really left me xD), CCS was one of the biggest parts of my childhood. ^^ I've actually been binge watching all of the original CCS anime since the only version I ever got to see as a kid was the highly edited English dub... and then I ended up reading the last few volumes of the manga, followed by re-reading Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles/xxHOLiC and the sequels of all 3 of them during the past few weeks...

 

Needless to say, if Sakura and Syaoran are the preorders I'm a goner, so I really hope it's not them because my wallet wouldn't be able to afford to keep them together. ;___;"

If they made a Sakura and Syaoran couple as the preorder dolls along with their school uniforms, I would be floored and dead. I wonder if the mystery silhouette shown was just a generic placeholder or not...

So, when will they make the announcement?!?

Also, the silhouette was definitely a generic placeholder, someone found that it matched perfectly the silhouette of the DDIII body in the Volks online shop photo.

I would be ~shocked~ if it's not a DDP.

 

Why announce the new body now, when we know it's not for the lotto dolls? You'd think they'd hold off on the announcement until they're ready to release the a doll on the DDP... but they made it now, which suggestions they're ready to release a DDP doll... and I think the next Dolpa isn't until December?

That makes sense. I'm cautiously hopeful. I was hoping the next preorder doll isn't going to be a DDIII because ideally I would like a shorter DD.

 

As for DD's shifting demographic, re: the advent of the DDS Boy... there were quite a few male Japanese collectors interested in making Len into a boy-daughter. DDS Boy bodies are compatible with SD10-13 SDGr girl clothes and not the already established SD13-SDGr boy size (as far as I understand). So I'm inclined to think the DD hobby is marketed more towards males, even if there are gradual changes. I would be very surprised if very girl marketed series like Sailor Moon would be considered for the DD line, but who knows. I do agree that Sakura is very popular with men too, so she could possibly be the new preorder doll.

So not to build up hope or anything, but... (Also forgive me if I missed something!)

 

Volks just posted this picture of Idolm@ster Cinderella Girl's Anastasia up on their twitter page... Since the countdown is coming closer to a close, could this be the PO project for the year even though all the Idolm@ster girls in the past have been lotto? Idk if there are any upcoming Dollpas/lotto events, so if she could be for one of those, forgive me for building up hope or my lack of knowledge on that. (Also can't read the japanese on the image...)

 

I can't see her being the doll that the countdown clock is counting down for because that would defeat the purpose. Plus another idolmaster doll doesn't seem like it would warrant a countdown clock becaue like you said songstr3ss, they've been lotto this whole time

...wow, I'm surprised at the intensity with which I dislike that doll. Glad she's not the pre-order!

I actually really like this doll and depending on how the profile of the face is, may regret buying my DDS so early.

 

And also the eyes. Will have to make them smaller? They are a bit full at the moment.

My guess is Mikudayo, because Volks doesn't always get body types right. (Momo should have been an MDD!)

 

I hope for a preorder boy, ANY preorder boy, but I know that Volks seems to delight in making choices that not only disappoint me, but turn my heart into a shish kabob.

 

I am doubtful that it is the 'robotic Miku' because some of the original info/video I remember seeing months back mentioned that unlike the robotic SmD, the DD was stuck in a chair because the wires that needed to be fed through into the body, hidden in the chair support. Plus with the vids popping up the last few days I'm really finding her movement to be very creepy, like bad animatronics from the 60s. Is that really supposed to be an upgrade?

Great news is that we only have 1 more day to wait!!!!! I can't wait to see what it is!!

My husband said last night that he's worried that it will be another DD we can't resist. I'm a little frustrated that Volks seems to be doing things at random times now. For years the preorders were open in Jan. and now... who knows! It's a lot harder keeping track on what's going on making it harder to know how to plan to save for the new releases.

So it's 12pm Monday (Japan time). How convenient, right when my lunch break starts. Didn't want to be checking my phone at work too much :'D

Preorder dolls - Anastasia and Yayoi & Iori from main Idolm@ster? Are my eyes deceiving me?

But?? surely they wouldnt announce it before the countdown is up? At first I thought it was a leak but its the official twitter posting those. This has got to be unrelated, right?

Makes no sense to me to make this amount of fuss about the unveil unless its something really new and exciting, and IM is hardly that in DDland, whether they're DDP bodies or not. Really hope that isn't it, I was assuming they were all new lottery dolls but the use of 2016年DD受注限定企画 (2016 DD preorder project, exact same phrase on the countdown page) is making me raise my eyebrows quite a lot.

Or maybe the one on the countdown will be a 4th doll...? Since theres now two DDP dolls already, the chances of it being another DDS boy went up a bit, hrm.

If the idolmaster 3 are the pre orders i have to say im a bit :/ at the hype but would probably pre order the DDP girls anyways, take a chance on customizing random girls again haha

But 17 hours is still 17 hours from now. At least we know that Volks can't keep tme. Plus with the DDP Idolm@ster girls announced today, why is Volks dropping everything at once? It makes NO sense! I'm so confused.
