DD Fes 2016 - Ltd Preorder announcement Soon

It makes NO sense! I'm so confused.

 

My friend who is just recently getting into dolls told me this recently, "You know sometimes i'm not sure if I'm just a huge noob or if Volks's way of doing things is really weird, and I've started to realise it's a little bit of both."

edit= I'm in Japan time and its 14 hours - 14 hours from now will be exactly 12pm september 12th. kinda funny that they must have programmed the timer to be 12pm september 12th regardless of timezones...

Volks doesn't make sense to anyone, maybe not even Volks.

 

I had enough drama by myself yesterday with Kyoya, so all of his on top of it is just twisting me in knots. I'm SO getting tired of being jerked around by Volks but with my personality I can't help it. This all just just seems like a big pile of shit after Rin & Len being lottery for non-Japanese collectors. I just nearly told Volks 'screw you' over that, now the drama simply contnues. We don't even know if the DDS boy will ever be standard or not.

 

I'm just feeling rather numb.

Basically someone leaked VOLKS News 70 and VOLKS got no more choice. Cat's out of the bag.

 

The timer is there running for the sake of running until the fullest hehe.

 

VOLKS Twitter confirmed pre order for all 3 girls.

If that's true then this must be the absolute most anti-climactic thing I've witnessed in this hobby so far

 

Oh well, one of my twitter friends is over the moon about Iori and finally becoming a DD owner so I wont rain on that parade. Still confused what the big deal is though. If its just the new bodies, they already revealed them way in advance anyway. Would have been a much more exciting leak if they kept the bodies secret till they revealed Yayoi and Iori.

What's surprising is not just that 2 girls, but Anya is also on for PO.

 

As far as anti climatic as it goes, that news on Anya is surprising so can't say I am disappointed.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to think there'll be a 4th (NON-IDOLM@STER) preorder doll. Unfortunately, realistically speaking right now, I don't see it happening. Clearly they're supposed to post the news tomorrow AFTER the countdown but had to post it today because someone leaked Volks news 70. This is why you don't leak stuff. It's more loss than benefit.

 

Ahhh the disappointment is real with this one. Not only for the fact that people leaked the news BUT for Volks to release (yet another) IdolM@ster AND in preorder! Not to mention, OVER Rin and Len (which I would've LOVED to own this year).

I feel like I've just been handed the soggiest piece of bread. (I Know it sounds weird, just is how I feel.)

 

No matter how I look at it. Try to reason it. This is literally nothing, but anti-climatic and pathetic.

 

We know it involves (or will most likely) involve your new body, and we can immediately see excitement for easy access to that body, but then you ALSO post a timer. You literally put up a physical timer to the release announcement. Everyone and their mother is so excited that there is no way not to get a little more pumped than usual. It's just so different! And we know there's a new body! All the possibilities seem within our reach! It just seems like we are going to get something new and exciting.

 

.....And you give us IdolM@ster girls. A line of girls you've been making for how freakin' long?! A line of girls everyone knew would further extend with this body. Sooner or later. It always happens so why would you bother rushing or hyping that?

 

But it's really that. The thing you've made so many of. That is nothing but sameface at this point due to the fact that there are just too many within the series already and that's doomed to happen. (And I hate these faces so much...mreh)

 

To just kinda make it feel worse Anastasia feels very tacked on. She was announced, officially, before Iori or Yayoi. We knew she existed and because it was so far ahead of the timer made sense to not to think she was a pre-order doll....but now it just feels like Volks shoved her in with the group cause "why not?"

 

Either way, I'm majorly disappointed. This seems like a pathetic move to up the hype on a line of dolls that didn't need it, and feel like the weakest reward for said hype.

 

I'll hope that SOMEHOW this is a red herring and they do have a forth doll. A doll that actually deserves the countdown. Something more than....this.

(Sorry for the rant, this actually really freakin' pissed me off.)

More idolmaster and no Anzu. Volks. You had one job. The perfect body. The cutest character. ya blew it.

This is a perfect description, actually. If these really are the pre-orders for the year, "soggiest piece of bread" is exactly right.

Woke up today and saw the forums and news. Quite disappointed. Dang it Volks!

The Idolm@ster line is a given, so coming out with a new set of girls is no surprise... No surprise at all!

 

I'm glad I had forgotten about the timer and not put much stock in it, Bc I had a feeling it's been disappointing /sigh

Oh wow, this has me reeling. I love Iori and was excited to share pics but I'm so shocked that these may be the PO dolls. Wow. I understand people's emotions being high.

On my end (I'm EST) it shows 23 hours left on the timer. I'm really hoping that means something............ Anything other than Idolmaster. Their faces aren't even unique enough to warrant excitement from me

Not really sure what you guys were expecting. Idolmaster girls sell well for Volks. I don't know why everyone got so hung up on the idea it was going to be a boy doll or Card Captor Sakura.

 

Dollfie Dreams are still primarily marketed towards men.

I wasn't hoping for any particular property or franchise, I just wanted new, even if it was new marketed to men! With the contest for guessing the doll, and the count-down clock, and whatnot, it really seemed like we might get new. But nope, nope, more of the same!

I kind of expect Volks to do weird stuff at this point but this is ridiculous!

My timer says 57 more minuets, so, holding out a little more hope that Volks isn't entirely crazy and has any actual business skills...

Nah don't worry I don't think it will be the idolmaster girls. Wouldn't make sense with Volks announcing it before the timer both on their twitter and in Volks news?? Plus the timer is only counting down to the start of the pre-order project so wouldn't be surprised if they just show some artwork rather than a completed doll. Even so don't expect pre-orders to open for a few weeks at least if not months.

Meh... I was really hoping for something different I'm really not into Idolmaster... I like a lot of the character designs, but none of them mean much to me. I would get them though, if it's going to be the only way to get the DDP body

I have a STRONG feeling we are being duped and there is just another announcement on the way. They showed Anastasia and a few days later this. Maybe it's a work up for something bigger and better. Maybe it will be related to Idolmaster, but it won't be them. Or maybe it's different. I told my fiance "Volks has a firm, steady hold on Vocaloid and Idolmaster, so if these are the new Pre-Orders from the count down it would be like a sandwich shop making a count down timer to announce cheddar cheese"

 

I love you guys and I know we are a passionate bunch, but the whole CCS thing was just something we made up that we wanted. There was never a hint. So for your own sanity don't set yourself up like that.

 

There is a lot of theories right now, but just hold your emotions until the timer ends. Then we will either all feel silly for getting so worked up about nothing, making ourselves mad essentially, or then we will KNOW we have a reason to be upset.

 

Maybe Volks got a new system in place for making dolls, so they decided to pump out a bunch? It's weird to release SO MANY dolls in such a short time. Especially if there is another actually on the way.

 

I know Volks doesn't make sense sometimes, but this is especially weird. I have a feeling we're all going to feel silly when the timer ends. And if this really is the pre order then we will know later. So just chill and hoooooooold on.

 

But if it is, I can say I'm going to be once bitter twice shy about any future hype. I love Idolmaster and Vocaloid a lot. But.... I would like a new face.
