Regarding bust... Issues

Good day, friends! I'm new here, as well as to the hobby itself. I just picked up a DDdy and so far, I'm super thrilled with her. Just received a few outfits from Cool Cat in the mail the other day and absolutely adore all of them. My only issue is how cold it seems to be in the world of DD. While I can understand the appeal of such things in some cases, I do wish her headlights weren't on display as if she was sat in the antarctic.

Now, I've seen the various tutorials that involve sanding them down, which would totally solve the issue, but I'm absolutely terrified to do such a thing. I fear I'd completely mess something up, and would have to go out and buy an entirely new bust piece.

My question is, are there bras that you can purchase made of a material thick enough to reasonably reduce how prominent they are? If so, where would I look? I see the underwear sets VOLKS offers themselves (though they appear to be out of stock of the DDdy sized striped set unfortunately, though I wonder if the large bust version would fit, albeit tightly?) but I can't seem to tell if it would do the job.

If not, I suppose I'd be able to suck it up and try my hand and sanding her down, but, I figured I'd ask before committing to be safe. Thanks in advance!

Hey!

I was also in this boat awhile ago but in the end i figured what the hell and jumped in.

I used 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper and went by hand, just slowly sanding using the 1500 to start, getting most of the nip off and then 2000 to finish and smooth out the area.

Theres tiny scratches/sand marks where i got a bit too enthusiastic but theyre so close to the centre of the breast that it will be covered by bras/shirts etc so im personally not terribly fussed.

I personally think it was worth sanding, my girls can wear tight clothes without poking out

but thats all just my thoughts ☆

I have more dollfies than my age in years *×*

It seems I may just have to bite the bullet and give it a go. I suppose if I mess it up too badly I can just buy another bust piece for about the same as a set of underwear would likely cost anyways, haha. Thanks for the input, though! Picked up some sandpaper on the way home today and will sit down and do it when time permits. Wish me luck!

With those high of grit numbers (1500-2000) your sanding media will be very, very fine, hence progress will be pretty slow. Not like if you were using a Dremel tool where BRRRRRT! and you could be all the way through. You'll have plenty of time to keep tabs on what you're doing.

Well, to update, I ended up sitting down for a good three hours or so just kind of gently working at it. Ended up coming out great! Now she can wear some of the more tight fitting stuff that I have and not look like she's in the middle of the arctic ocean whilst wearing it. I wish that they just sold the flat bust options for Dynamite models like they do for the normal DDIII ones, but, I suppose this works just as well. Thanks for the input!

Yup, I totally agree, a flat bust for DDDY would be great. I wound up sanding down Agatha's *ahem* pointy features, too, though I procrastinated on doing it for ages because I was too lazy to disassemble her.

In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
