*new body* Dollfie Dream Pretty

Yes, but the earlier heads are a smidge smaller than the newer ones, generally speaking. 01-05 are smaller than 06-09 (not sure about 10 since I don't have one yet). The size disparity is often not noticeable depending on wig and outfitting, but you definitely notice it when trying to fit wigs.

It's not that big a deal. I have an 06 on my mdd and she looks adorable in my opinion! Kids have big heads, anyway.

Something else just occurred to me, we could see Fate and Nanoha from A's on the DDP body. Hopefully Volks decides to revisit that license in the future, if not for the new preorder.

I had a similar hope that perhaps they would make Vivio eventually on this body I really look forward to seeing it more

I think most heads can work on MDD bodies but trick is to round off the chin and maybe the nose a bit with some sandpaper.

I find the prospect of this body interesting because I have an 02 girl (Isabella) waiting for a body. She's cute on an MDD body but it still looked too small for her even though she still has a childish personality. What I really want to see is the size comparison between the DDP and Obitsu 45cm. If by some dumb luck they were pretty close, Ringo might finally have her ideal body. She's currently got the 45cm body with MDD hands as well as the MDD torso and S bust with a dowel rod for her spine to give her the right height. She's the most cobbled together DD we have.

Not yet.. as far as I'm concerned. We've only heard about the IdolM@ster preorder project. I might need this body myself for a custom CCS Sakura.

I feel that also Rin Kagamine could fit very well depending on the size of the head... but at the same time I'm very new with measuraments so maybe not xD

But a Sakura Dollfie would be very cute, they have been announcing very interesting stuff for the 20 anniversary

Makes me wonder how the new frame will work with the taller bodies like DDS or DD3. Does it work with them or is there a different frame (this is more likely)? I wonder if we'll end up with a DDS2 or DD4 soon.

I got to see and touch the DDP today in Volks Fu kuoka. (They make you wear gloves lol. I understand though)

I asked the staff to show me poses the previous bodies can't do given that I'm still a DD novice. The poses she showed me included an impressive splits - she can open her legs quite wide, and sitting on the ground with legs open and palms on the ground between them, which looks cute. The middle torso joint moves a lot!

She can also sit with one leg over the other in a sassy pose - the staff explained that while previous DDs could do this already, it looks more natural now (I thought so too).

One thing I was disappointed about was that she still can't do the 'lying on stomach and looking up' pose that a smartdoll can do - smartdolls can do it due to the flexible spine/neck but the DDP can only do it as well as a regular DD. It's a really cute pose so I thought that was a shame.

 

The body moves really smoothly and the joints look nice. Poses like sitting with the legs up look more natural too. I really wished I had been allowed to film the staff demonstrating it but I wasn't allowed (I did ask) I hope they upload some kind of official video demonstration of it eventually.

 

I don't know how long the body itself is on display - I know the preorder girls are only for the duration of the preorder period (or a bit less than that) but if it's still on display when any of you are in Japan, definitely ask if you can touch it, you might be able to describe it better than a noob like me.

SDM is SuperDollfie Midi. They're pretty close to MSD, just something different about torso i think....

 

MDD and MSD can share most clothes, buuuut not always. They're similar heights, but their proportions aren't quite... Like, the anime girl has slimmer waist and somehow wider hips by couple mm?

This is very helpful, thank you for telling me! I read the thread but it seems I skipped that part. By "some" I think MSD dresses and shirts fit but not MSD jeans.

Well, overall, the Pretty appears to be fairly close to Azone/Obitsu50, you can look up clothes that would fit these guys and girls and it's likely that they'll fit the DDP also. The general thing I've seen as far as MSD clothing on those bodies goes is that the not too form-fitting ones will fit them fine, but obviously pant legs and sleeves are going to be shorter because of their limbs, so keep that in mind when purchasing clothing for them!

 

I personally can't wait for my girl to arrive so I can try alllll the clothes on her >~<

I have a bunch of MSD and Slim MSD clothes that I can try on, but I'm waiting to get into the second batch of dolls, so I'm sure someone with MSD/ MDD clothes will get one of these girls earlier than me..
