Guess I should start a photo thread for my little girl(s, I do plan on having more in the future.). We spent nearly 2 weeks in Utah this month, and one of those weeks was at my son's aunt's house. The house had all kinds of plants and stuff out front, so I took some photos. Here's one to start us off, more will come as I have time. Sadly my computer (iPhoto really) is having issues so it takes me forever to do anything with my photos.

I guess I should introduce her, this is my 1st little girl, Miku. She's a sweetie, and a bit shy. She loves cuddling with me and wearing cute clothes. And she is very fond of her (Was mine at one point, until Miku came along.) little Cardcaptor Sakura.

That first photo is so sweet ^_^ I really like how natural her poses look in both shots.

Thanks. Posing has been hard for me to get one that doesn't look so stiff. The 1st one has been my go to pose. Reading up on portrait photography has been helping. Now on to more photos.

Awww! She looks so sweet! I love the closeups of her, especially of her peeking out from behind the tree. The little chair she has for watching fireworks is cute too!

 

Getting posing correct or to look natural is HARD. It takes lots of time and lots of photos to get things looking like a real person. When I was first getting into taking pictures of my girls, I looked thru a lot of fashion magazines to see women posing in various ways. It helped me quite a bit!

 

And I love the train setup! I used to have a small HO scale Lionel playset when I was young and it was always so much fun to run around. Please feel free to share more pics of that collection!

Thanks. Taking photos of her was fun. I need to get more courage to take her out in near large groups or in public to take more photos. All these where when it was just my immediate family around. During a family reunion later she sat in our room. I'm mostly a keep to themselves kind of guy, and I know bringing her out will get me lots of attention. Plus it's hard enough trying to keep track and manage 3 very active little boys, let alone trying to track Miku in the mix.

 

As for the chair, I got it at Target years ago for my son (It's a camping chair for kids.) only to find out it was smaller then I thought it was, so he didn't fit it. My younger son has used it a couple times, but my mother in law has several small ones at their cabin so he always picks one of those instead. So Miku may just get to keep this chair. And if when she gets sisters, there'll be room for them too.

 

As for the trains, there'll be plenty more shots of them. It's a work in progress, and I'm sure Miku will be wanting to help lots.

It's cute outfit, but it just didn't fit her right. She's just too small, if you know what I mean. I'll keep it around for my next girl. On another night looking at a train catalog.

She's not a fan of adulting as it reduces her cuddle time, but I've got to do it.

Miku had some play time yesterday on the train layout. Sakura seems to be enjoying the ride.

Yes, so does she. As you can tell from the photos, Miku takes her everywhere.

 

Here's another photo from Labor Day of her playing on the playground thingy I helped build.

 

 

When looking on the Volks' site, My wife and I found the pink bunny pj set and she thought it was cute, so I ordered it to see how it was. Here's Miku with it on on our bedroom floor.

Here she put all her hair in the bunny suit, but then the hood wouldn't stay on her head. It's very soft and fuzzy, but also so baggy. I'm not really a fan of it, but I'll keep it around for now. Miku might enjoy it on the rare few cold nights we get around here.

I really need to take more photos, or rather get them uploaded so I can post here. Anywho, in the meantime here are a couple really poor shots from my smartphone. Thomas is trying to get some love from Miku, but isn't sure why she won't pet him.

Also0 your Miku is precious! It's interesting to see one who isn't a spoiled hell raiser like mine. XD

Perhaps mine is smarter than most, or more devious. She know if she stays sweet and doesn't act spoiled, then she'll keep getting spoiled. I almost feel sorry for her older sister when she finally makes her "debut" at Christmas. She may be the older sister of the two, but Miku will definitely be the one that runs the joint, from the shadows/behind the scene.

Photo spam time! Here are two different trips to the in-law's cabin. First up is from a couple months ago. Enjoying herself on a climbing dome, or whatever you call them things.

Yes, she's sporting a new doo. We wanted something that didn't require so much upkeep as her normal twin tails. It gives her a different look, but I think I like it. We just got outside on the new porch I worked on all weekend with my father-in-law on.

 

 

We went on a walk and found this cool half dead tree for her to climb in.

 

 

 

 

 

She liked climbing in that tree. I was working on setting up another pose at the base of the tree, but it was really windy and blew her over. I picked her up, and noticed a scratch on her face!!! That really ruined my mood and we went in. But you have to look close to see it, and now I think she might of got it a different day. I really need to get a stand as she doesn't do well standing sometimes.

Last night we enjoyed some time together as she watched me play a video game.

until u do get that stand... use rocks as things she can lean on (my Mari used to outright sit on my camera bag in shot wasn't sure about), but also.. and I feel like the only idiot who does this - bring string!

Like, even a basic shoelace, so u can securely tie her to something. Like that junglegym, or maybe a fancy railing she's sitting on.... It can easily be camo~ed with a skirt or cover with her arm or something (or just 'shoop out), and at least it's a tiny bit of safety

Now that's a cleaver idea! My wife has a whole ton of yarn, I can just throw one of those in the bag. That'd help a lot.

Wow, I've been slacking. Guess it's time to add some more photos. I also need to get in the habit of taking more photos now that I have two girls. First is of my newest little girl, Yaya.

 

 

It was also from her 1st photo shoot but it didn't make it into that thread. Now some more of Miku, going for different look.

 

 

As always she keeps Sakura with her. I was able to convince her to take one without her precious plushy.

With having breathing kids, the wife and I don't get out much, so we do "stay in dates" after they are all in bed. This time the wife ran and got us some Cold Stone. We sat down to eat and chat. As we were nearing the bottom of our cups, the wife turned to notice an ever hopeful face.

 

 

Miku learned a lesson that night. Mommy never gives up her ice cream!

And Miku looks awesome in that outfit of hers too, I really wish I could have gotten one of those when they came out. That's a funny last photo, reminds me of my girls always begging for sweets whenever I sneak some for myself.

Yaya's outfit is nice, but a pain to put on. Miku was never in her default outfit as long as Yaya has been. Part of that is because there is an event coming up I'm wanting to take her to in her outfit, and I don't want to dress her in it again before hand (Yep, I'm lazy.).

 

As for Miku's outfit, the top and hair bands are from this outfit, and the shorts and belt from this one. Both can still be had from Volks USA. Her shoes are from eBay, I really wish I had ordered more of the shoes before they sold out. They fit perfectly and go with so many summer outfits.
