Ie-Aster Posted July 31, 2016 From Danny's Twitter: The tweet: 伊勢丹 X スマートドール。 It sounds like these outfits are Isetan department store uniforms and they will be limited edition? They're really elegant, though! EDIT: I fixed your image size so people can see both sets. Billy At home: Mei (DDP Lucy custom), Aku (DDB Takane custom) En route: L. belpita Posted July 31, 2016 Oh, they're lovely! I am more of a fan of simpler outfits that are basically scaled down versions of human clothing, so these are right up my street.

belpita Posted August 1, 2016 Sounds pricy and smart doll clothes costed a bit to begin with. A lot of high-end doll clothes can be considered pricey, I suppose. But then, if you know the time and labour that goes into making those tiny details it's understandable. After all, it's basically miniature copies of human size clothes, all the way down to the tiniest seam detail. The designer also has to find the proper fabric with thinner thread weaving or small patterns, so it looks more realistic.
K-2 Posted August 1, 2016 I've purchased a few pieces of Smart Doll clothing (jeans, shoes, bikinis), mostly because I was sure these items would have the exact fit. Yes they are on the pricey side but as far as fit and finish go, they do not disappoint. And I really like the range of casual clothing they have chosen. I will no doubt be buying more Smart Doll clothing for my girls in the future.

SamND1967 Posted August 20, 2016 They won't be available outside Japan? Going to cost me more to go through other sellers to the clothes. I love that skirt. So business like, heheh.

Eiko82 Posted September 11, 2016 Danny posted some new info on his website. Both outfits are sold together with a Smart Doll of choice at the Isetan store. The skirt set (with doll) is 85,000 JPY excluding tax. The suit set (with doll) is listed at 90,000 JPY excluding tax. It's not possible to buy the outfits separately. Those outfits are stunning but holy moly at those prices O__o Interestingly enough, at the bottom, he also mentions an overseas collaboration to be announced on the 22nd of Sept. Interesting.... I would just be happy if it's a European collaboration. Seriously, *ANY* European company/country will do!! Nozomi02 Posted September 13, 2016 LOL! I actually wouldn't mind if it was IKEA. It's a really short trip for me, so I'd totally be there every other day. My guess would be another clothing/dept store rather than furniture, though. Or maybe a camera store, like he has going in other countries. Whatever it is, I'm excited for it! Furniture and props are really exciting to me cos I can't make them and because I love making tiny dioramas. And considering IKEA's specialty is *flatpack* furniture. . . not only does that mean less brutal shipping than say, Volks furniture, but perhaps there's hope of something that can easily be folded back flat for storage. That'd be neat. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
