Getting in contact with Smart doll?

So I Emailed them about two weeks ago (just under) but I never got a reply. Then asked on twitter what the average time ones waits for a reply and also got no response.

 

Is it normal to be ignored by them? I I always see how lovely the customer service is but is that only if you give them your money so you're on their books or something.

 

would sending the message again be good in case it has gone to their junk folder or would spamming them not help.

Maybe it depends on the topic of your message or it's just random...

I sent them a message asking for vinyl samples about two months ago and never got a reply. After that I emailed a question about cracks in a head and got a reply after few days.

When I contacted them it took a little over a week, I think? I was asking if the eyes on cocoa ver Eiji would ever be up for sale separately. I did notice that yahoo mail sorted their reply into spam, but if you've checked there, I'm not sure what could be up.

 

I think you're justified in writing them again; it's possible that everything except stuff like cracks and other doll defects or problems gets forgotten when they have a heavy email load--which may be the case now what with all the licensing stuff--so an email saying "hey, I wrote a while ago but you may have missed it" (as long as it's polite, obviously) may be more likely to get their attention.

Indeed. I have my old Hotmail email address so it may be just its that some tiles it can do that.

 

I think I asked about a few things. One I know was about their option to mark a parcel down for us in the UK where customs is stupid. and I think another was about the size of the Eiji eyes so I could know what I may need to do for a custom pair of eyes. and lastly was just wondering ti you will release their own "How to" for opening the solid eyes of the blank heads / or if they will give an option of selling an open eyes head some day.

Could it be because Danny himself has been doing a lot of travelling lately?

Danny posted on his twitter a few days ago that he was buried in mail, so I'd be patient. He has seemed to be busy lately.

Another 10 days and no response =.= it's so annoying I get even plot to order yet until I know what and if he can lower the price on the shipping... if not it will be almost another £100 that I will have to save and it takes me so long to get that amount... i thought I would have time to find out before the SMD guy hand pack came out but it looks like they will be out before I hear back.

Last two packages I got from then were mark half the price of the items and I even haven't ask for it. But that were just some stuff and not a doll.

But when I ordered Kizuna it was enough to fill a note section during placing an order with the price you'd like to have on a package. I guess they may not want to answer your question directly, because marking down a package is kinda illegal. I remember Danny stating a few times that they can mark down a package if you're affraid of a reaction from your family

mainly for me it's so I can afford one.. since I am unemployed I only get money from art I draw of selling stuff I already have so it takes stupidly long to get anything. I began saving pretty much the day a guy doll was announced it. it's taken quite a while so far. and the fear of not being able to afford the charge when it gets to me is something I do worry about. also on twitter, i have still gotten no response to things I have directed to the smart doll account. which is annoying in a different way since I have messaged questions on behalf of others that don't have a twitter account (though the last time I did this I did get a response) so if they are stopping the reply to tings like that it won't be too helpful.

They can't declare less than 200 USD though, apparently, for a SmD. If customs fees are by percentage of declared value though this should still help some?

yeah, i knew they would do it by something. I was wondering if it being a blank doll would make it any lower. (i think that was when they have only full sets. then the other things also would be nice to know. but shame there has been no reply to now. but thank you for linking that ^^

going to spam for them.

I know how you feel about customs fees (I'm also in the UK...and also Cornwall, funnily enough!). I hate always having to ask sellers to mark down to avoid them, thankfully many of them are so kind about it.

 

I'm buying Ebony on the 1st and I'm kind of dreading the import fees, even though I know the shop will mark down to 20,000 yen and as 'gift'. Hopefully it won't be over £100. What's tricky is that before Brexit I'm pretty sure that 20,000 yen fell under the Customs Duty radar, whereas now with the exchange rate not in our favour, I'm afraid the parcel will get handling fee, VAT and duty on top. I know she'll be worth it when she's in my hands but...uggghh xD

yeah before the bexit 40K yen was about £250ish and at the time i bought 40K was £300 ish... so yeah i paid 50 more then i should of if i bought before the mess up TTLTT

 

i hope it will be under £100 (under 50 would be awesome)
