Chiaki Nanami - SDR2 - What doll to use?

 

So I thought I had forgotten her, but after replaying SuperDanganRonpa2, I just want her in my life.

But because I'm new, I don't know what doll would fit her!

 

Chiaki is canonly chubbier, rounder and shorter than most anime girls, and I know I wont be able to get that with a DD body, so at least I'd like to find a face that fits her properly.

 

Any suggestions?

Maybe check out the Dollfie Dream Pretty thread for the body. It isn't out yet, but since you described her as shorter and chubbier than the average anime girl. There's also a good chance the next preorder will be the DDPretty.

The DDP will definitely be shorter... but chubbier? It's a teensy wisp of a thing, skinnier than the DDS for sure -- no chub whatsoever!

 

Probably the best body match is actually the Azone AZO2, but they can be a bit difficult to locate (and I'm not sure if they're a color match for Volks vinyl). If you want a Volks body, then the DDS is probably your best bet.

 

In terms of option heads, probably the 09... the 07 has the right eye shape but I think looks too mature, the 06 has the cute factor but the wrong eye shape. However, the 09 is a Doll Point only, so you can't buy direct from Volks -- you'd need to pick up from a 3rd party.

 

In terms of limited heads, my vote would probably actually be Yaya with her eyes re-painted to make them look less round, or Miku with a full repaint.

I like the pretty body a lot, but it s definitely on the slim side, not a single ounce of fat, haha.

And I'm actually liking it s lot. I feel like it s perfect for Chiaki. Those hips! And a founder softer belly! Yes!

I'm not really into the whole squishy thing tho. It looks weird. Plus it doesn't sit properly and the color doesn't match.

But I still like it a lot. First choice if possible.

 

As for the face, I don't really like Yaya s smile and I don't think MIKU fits her either

Seconding an AZO2(and/or maybe a vmf50 type A??)--they were meant to be curvy and slightly chubby, and would look short next to a dollfie dream. Otherwise DDS/DDP are your only other options for a shorter vinyl girl. Obitsus have a squishy tummy, but that helps them do deeper poses. As long as they're clothed I don't think it's that bad. xD

 

I saw this a while back; someone made a custom 50cm Enoshima Junko with a parabox Luna head that looks really nice in my opinion. Granted, I don't really know much about danganronpa at all besides knowing she's from that series. ^^" Among standard Volks heads I think DDH-09/10 could work? If you want an open mouth head you can also try an SQ Lab Miyuki head. If you do decide to stick with an AZO2 for her body, it's probably best to look for heads that are in normal skin, since that's closest to obitsu's skin color, even though it's not a perfect match.

As an aside, I looked up Chiaki online and the wiki said her bmi is apparently 18.. which is actually underweight??? Anime/game weight standards.... ;-;"

Okay so I've decided on the AZ02 but I don't know if its compatible with DD heads?
