Volks USA had their lottery for these items last weekend, and were suppose to let people know this weekend if they won, has anyone heard anything yet? Normally by now I have that usergroup tab with the items I won listed, but nothing this time. I'm hoping that they changed the system (What is the My Points thing that has been added?) over me not winning anything this time (I put in for several items, which means if I didn't win any I'm really unlucky this time...).

I haven't heard anything yet. It seems they've mostly settled into sending out the emails for these events around their closing time on fridays.

 

I don't have anything on my profile details either. So either

A) they haven't done the entries as to who won yet.

B)I didn't win anything or

C) they've covered up that hole in the curtain.

 

Edit:

The answer seems to have been (A). I got my email a few minutes ago.

I got an email saying I won and to pay but I'm not seeing the items in my order list, the link they sent or my cart.

 

Edit: they are there now. Got everything I entered for.

I got mine late yesterday, but they made an error. I put in for the white high heels with the blue bow, but I somehow won the red ones with a black bow. I've emailed them twice, but of course they didn't send me the winning email until after business hours, so no one will see it to make corrections until after the lottery payment period is closed. So except for the shoes and the MDD jeans, I got everything else I put in for. I'll have to hover Monday morning to try picking up those items, as well as some extra of the items I did win.

 

I think they should really announce the winners Thursday so that there is still Friday to address issues like I had.

I had been thinking about that kind of scenario yesterday. It seems there's a lot of manual entry for the process, and this time the labels on the user screen were just numbers instead of labels with descriptive meaning. I'm sure it was done that way to make it easier to enter, but an unfortunate side effect is that it's also easier to make mistakes when entering with that kind of system. Then again, shoes don't have descriptive names in the first place, just those alphabet soup part numbers. Personally, I'm always having to double check, "did I order the right shoes?" So, it may be academic.

 

VolksUSA seems to have gotten their lottery system mostly worked out. There's still some room for improvement.

 

I'm not sure why they use Friday at the end of business day for the lotteries. They just tend to. They have also occasionally used Thursday. I lost out on all my items in the first lottery I took part in, but I think users here mentioned they got their notices on Wednesday for that particular event. So, the day isn't written in stone. My guess is they use end of day on Friday because it doesn't interfere with normal operations the rest of the week, and end of day Friday means mail pickup has already been done.

 

You might get a response today (Saturday). If not, I don't see much alternative. However, I do think an email with the gentle and helpful suggestion/question of lottery emails on Thursday afternoon would be a good idea. It definitely does seem they take reasonable and productive input under consideration, so it's worth a shot. It helps them deal with customer service. It lets us know results earlier and makes us less antsy. It seems win/win.

Yeah totally, don't be afraid to email them about issues. I actually had a problem identifying a color of a wig and they were extremely helpful, and they even admitted their mistake and fixed the problem. (I actually unintentionally found an error with their colors.)

They already fixed an issue with the eyes when I emailed them a couple weeks ago. I have sent them emails about the lottery shoe error (One last night as soon as I found it, and one this morning when I paid for everything else.). It's just bothersome as it was the shoes to match the Sky Blue Chinoiserie set (Which I did win.). I hope I can snag them Monday, as well as the Realistic Denim Pants / Mini (Blue) I didn't win and an extra pair of the Folded Socks.

They made an error with my entry as well. I entered for some boots SB-SD-199, and a different pair of boots for SD boys is what it had me as winning. Just hope it's something they can fix.

Whelp, by clicking refresh all morning, I was able to add the white/blue shoes to my cart and checkout. here's hoping that when they ship it was there to ship to me. They never did reply to either of the emails I sent about the error in my lottery winnings.

 

Sadly I didn't get the MDD jeans, which surprised me actually, as it always seems there is less of a demand for MDD items and there have always been leftovers after a lottery (So far as I have noticed since joining the hobby in May of this year. So not a really long period, but still 4 lotteries.). On a side note, I wish Volks had more MDD offerings, even a 2nd standard character would be nice.
