Yeah, I'm definitely gonna sell the outfit separately when I buy her. There are a few pieces I dig, like the white top and the long boots, but I'm pretty sure the full costume would mean more to other people than the loose bits would to me.

I visited Doll Point yesterday and Anya is so pretty in person! ; _ ; Iori and Yayoi are cute, but Anya is such a showstopper with her beautiful dress. I'm even more unsure if I should pre-order her or not but perhaps getting a DDH-08 and DDH-09 is enough for the year..

Every time I see a new photo of Anastasia I just fall more in love with her My split partner & I decided to go with Volks USA in the end. She took care of the deposit since it was what her share plus tax would be. So now she's squared away and I'm gonna save up my share during the long wait. At least this way if there is a problem with anything I can easily go over it with Volks USA in person instead of having to email Volks International. I really hope we'll get more pictures once the pre-order is closed and our long wait begins~ For anyone still on the fence just don't forget that pre-orders closed on Dec 4th!

I preordered her on Volks USA for my wife and paid in full a couple weeks or so ago. I wasn't sure about her at first, but my wife picked her, and I have to admit that she grows on me with every new photo that comes out. My wife isn't much for one to outwardly show her emotions much, but when we happen to talk about her future 1st doll I see a twinkle in her eyes. I hope Volks surprises us and we get her sooner.

I think you should save your money for a doll that really calls out to you Pre-ordering just for the sake of pre-ordering isn't (in my opinion) a good enough reason to get a doll. Now if you decide you'd regret not getting any of the pre-order girls because you do want them then go for it! Otherwise I would pass and wait for the next release or deal that you might see

I think enjoying other peoples dolls will be enough for me. I'm interested to see the DDP and Anya has such a beautiful look, but I can pass.

With Volks USA you still have to pay California sales tax (applies to residents of California and those picking up at the store as stated on their site) which is 9% where they are located. So yes you still pay the sales tax on the downpayment. So when I pay off the remaining amount it will be $430 + sales tax. No shipping since I'll be doing store pickup. Yeah I was about to go with International if my split partner hadn't decided to do the downpayment

I believe that only Calif residents pay the sales tax. I'm in WA state, and I've never had to pay it.

Looks like they nab you either way, Innocentsake! You don't pay shipping, but you pay tax when you pick her up!

As long as I get a beautiful doll out of it then it's all good hehe

It's sad for us Californians, we pay tax both shipped orders and pickup.

I wanted to purchase a standard doll from them but tax is what killed my chances(my credit limit is at $500).

 

This is why I am so reluctant to buy from Volks USA most of the time, but hey I think about it in a different way.(like the tax pretty much covers 1 day delivery. Since it only takes 1 day to arrive at my home.)

I try I try But yes you still have to chase after the elusive Kanu! Really can't wait to see more DDP pictures. Not gonna lie I would be tempted to join a split for the body, but since it's brand new I don't think anyone will be parting with it But that's fine since they'll make it standard with time. Gotta save up all my monies for Anya now.

Aww that sounds so nice! I be that twinkle in her eyes is very bright And I think that happens to all of us at some point in time. I know there are a couple dolls that I didn't think I liked very much, but after seeing owner photos and/or seeing them in person my mind was completely changed. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping it only takes a year to get these girls home

 

But if not I suppose that just gives me more time to save

They usually close them on the morning of the date listed. Although they might still accepts preorders until the end of the day. But if you're going to preorder make sure you do it before the 4th!

 

Ahhh! So cute! I hadn't seen this back when it was posted. She really has some similarities to the 03 sculpt, my favorite. Finally the wait is almost over.

Volks photography does'nt show the real potential of this mold

In some small way I regret pre-ordering Iori over Anastasia. As far as I know Anastasia is taller and has more options for clothing open to her, and she would have been slightly cheaper when ordering with that alternative outfit. Oh well Iori is still cute as a bug's ear

Anastasia truly was super pretty in person! I'm more attached to Iori and Yayoi as characters, but I think as a whole Anya might be more appealing. That dress! If Volks didn't have Ranko up on display too at Doll Point I might have pre-ordered her, but in the end Ranko is the one that fits one of my planned girls best so far so I passed on her.

 

...not that I'd be able to afford the aftermarket price of a Ranko anytime soon...;;
