Double Fate!

That's right, double the Fate, double the fun!

 

Ok, not really but here's what's up. A friend of mine here on the forums ( who will remain nameless in case she wants to make a post about her new girl ) asked me to help her out on a deal she was doing for a Fate Testarossa. She had been after one for a while and finally found one for sale but since she didn't want a few things that came with the default set, Fate was sent to me first so that I could check her out for any possible issues and to take out the items I had purchased from the owner to help offset her original cost and the shipping.

 

After Fate arrived here, I did a series of photos so the new owner could see her new Fate and to also have *MY* Fate play around with her and see what her default self looks like since I have NONE of her default uniform or weapons.

 

So here we go!

She was well packed for sure. My Fate shows up and promptly proclaims that this package, whatever it might be, is now hers.

Very big box and very fancy. After unboxing everything, we got Fate put together. But my Fate got mad at me for not getting her clothes out yet.

While naked Fate got dressed, my Fate decided to play with the weapons in the box. First up is the sword.

That thing is seriously HUGE! And heavy too, the handle on it is METAL. The clear-ish yellow parts are very thick and add to the weight. It's a very big and impressive sword for sure.

 

Now we have the energy scythe.... this thing is awesome! It's much lighter than the sword but a little top heavy.

With a big SWOOSH of her cape, she shows off the posability of it. The cape is fully lined with metal bones so it can be posed in all sorts of cool ways.

Her gauntlet is SUPER COOL. I love how shiny it is and how mean looking it is.

To match her gauntlet, she has armored boots too. And her inner jacket/coat is also boned to let you pose it. I really like the red jewel accents on it.

Here's the uniform under all the coats. I wasn't expecting the sleeveless top but it's pretty cute!

One note on the scythe.... in the picture below, the only thing that is permanently attached to the head of it is the main blade. See all the tiny, pointy bits on the head that are gray? All those are separate pieces! And the top smaller fins of energy are also separate. They're fidgety to put on and they sometimes pop off for no reason.... not fun. But when it's all together it looks amazing.

It was really cool seeing a full default Fate in person, her outfit is just so friggin cool. She looks awesome in it and with all the boning in the clothes, posing for cool photos would be loads of fun to do. Fate has since been packed up and mailed to her new owner where I know she will get lots of love and attention. And fortunately for me, her new owner did NOT want any of the weapons or the gauntlet so I purchased the sword, scythe, gauntlet and glove from her to add to my weapon collection! I was over the moon about it too since these things hardly ever come up for sale on their own. I also kept the box she came in because of shipping and space issues for the new owner so now I have a place to keep all my larger weapons.

 

Once the new owner gets Fate in hand and makes a post or lets me know it's cool, I'll do a proper "thank you" to her for all her help and for being so nice to me about everything. She's a wonderful person and I hope she enjoys having her Fate!

 

On a side note, I'm going to have to do another weapon comparison thread because I've added quite a few newer and larger weapons to my collection. Be warned! LOL

Thank you! I was very impressed with how nice her default outfit is! I'd like one for my Fate but they don't come up for sale very often, same with her weapons. And altho I agree with you that it would be great to have all the huge weapons out on display, I have nowhere to put them at the moment. But I *have* been wanting to redo the displays in my computer room so maybe when I get that figured out I can make room to at least put out the really cool weapons like the God Eater sword and Fates stuff.

I agree with you about not seeing enuff Fates out there. I'm not sure if she just wasn't very popular or if she's just a short run doll with small numbers made. Either way it was nice to see this one in person. And yes, that gauntlet rules! I'm so glad I was able to buy it and add it to the armory.
