Anna-neko Posted September 6, 2016 this is kinda silly... but I have no idea how to fix this? Ripped off hooks, lost buttons or unraveling hems are easy! Broken doll spine just needs epoxy glue! ... but what does one do in a busted shoe situation!??! The soles are coming away, and I have no idea what to use to reattach it! Would epoxy glue be too much & ruin it? Is plain white glue not enuff to hold it together? Open to ideas!
Innocentsake Posted September 6, 2016 The heel on one of my older pair of volks shoes came off recently. I used Elmer's White Glue and it seemed to do the trick. Been a couple of weeks and the heel is still in place. Hopefully this works for the sole of the shoe just as well
XOHimitsuOX Posted September 6, 2016 Use contact adhesive. 1st mask the toe of the foot and sides of the sole. Using a toothpick apply a thin layer of contact adhesive in the cavity on both sides, then wait for it to dry. Once dry, push both parts together.
lightly Posted September 23, 2016 I've used white glue before and it does the job very well. It's more of a concern when the leather is actively flaking off though, since no amount of glue will save that situation.
Anna-neko Posted September 23, 2016 Ok, white glue it is then! shall be the first thing to try, as it really is most common & easiest ^__^ thanx for the input!
