redxmaverick Posted September 11, 2016 Hi everyone! The sling bikini is one of my favorite styles of bikini. Yes, it is highly revealing and only covers the naughty bits. Some may call it raunchy. I like it because it really shows off a person's curves and accentuates them when the model poses correctly. There is no sling bikini out there in the Dollfie market so I had no choice but to craft it myself. I've had the plan in my head for months. I was hesitant to even try because I have absolutely zero sewing or crafting skills. Finally took the dive during Labor Day weekend. Let's get to it. Model: Rise Kujikawa Upper Body Type: DDdy Peach Pai Lower Body Type: DDdy Peach Pai Hair: Long Silver Hair Eyes: Red with eyelashes Materials: Leopard print felt Black elastic cord Silver color 6mm rings Time to craft: 2 hours I forgot to snip the excess elastic cord (on the left). I left it on like that in case I needed to adjust the tautness of the cord so the bikini bottoms don't fit loosely. I have it bikini bottoms hug her. You can think of the bikini bottoms as normal string bikini bottoms except the strings run through tiny little silver rings connected to the bikini top to make it a sling type bikini. You can see the elasticity of the cord. Clearer view of the rings on the bikini top. The bikini top straps are adjustable as well. Tied around the neck. Back view. Like I mention earlier, the bikini only covers the essentials and really for showing off the curves. The Peach Pai body is really meant to be shown off. What I really love about the body is that there are no visible joints. It's seamless. It's quite realistic. Those that are familiar with peach pai or silicone parts, the peach pai body is soft and "squishy". The peach pai body is VERY posable. You can do vastly more poses with the peach pai body than with a normal Volks body. For the bikini bottoms, the elastic is not sewn into the elastic cord. I folded the fabric over the cord and sewed the fabric together. If the cord breaks for whatever reason, I can replace it (hopefully). Closer look at the bikini top. I eyeballed the bikini top and cut it out by hand. But for the bikini bottoms, I did use a template. The reason I said it took me 2 hours is because I had no sewing skills. This is all done by hand. Threading the needle wasn't easy at first either. After an hour, I was able to thread the needle faster. It doesn't look like there was much stitching but I ran the needle and thread through many times because I wanted to make sure when I sewed the fabric onto itself, it wouldn't unravel when it came time to adjust the tautness of the cord. I hope you enjoyed this feast for the eyes. Please don't ask me to make one for you. lol. If I with no sewing skills can do it, you can do it too. It'll just take time.
