Different Coloured Eyes

Hello everyone!

 

The girl I'm current constructing has mismatched eyes and one of my major concern with choosing what style and brand of eyes to use. I see eyes made with mostly black pupils and others where the iris is just a darker version the iris.

 

Has anyone here had much luck getting a good aesthetic match with different coloured eyes in their girls/boys? Any photos? Anyone willing to play around with their dolls and their catalogue of spare eyes to give examples?

I have one heterochromatic girl, but only because I happened to have a few different colours of exactly the same type of eye. They're not particularly great quality eyes, but she's just a 'testbed' girl at the moment anyway. I test things on her and such since I still haven't decided who I want to make her.

 

What brand/type of eyes are they?

I honestly have no idea. I got three pairs as a random freebie with something I bought on YJA. They're very flat, though, not the usual domed eyes I have from everywhere else.

I think as long as the eyes are the same style, heterochromia should look good regardless of which brand or style you go with... I think I have duplicates from Arietta Style running around somewhere, maybe?

 

Mixing styles is probably not going to look so great, though. So just pick a style you like, buy 2 pairs of that style, just in different colors, and you should be fine.

You just need to buy 2 colors of the same type of eye. There are a couple more photos on my Flickr.

It's a custom Beatrice, and the eyes are WDS

Robbie has no problems with different colored eyes.

There's just something about Robbie's pristine vest that just makes that picture amazing
