Iori's size is really great, just enough smaller to make her more playful with.

I wonder how Iori or Yayoi heads would look on a DD or DDS body? Are they smaller or would they look good and well proportioned? Or other DD heads on the DDP body (we've seen Rin Kagamine looks a little too big)

In Foo's comparison the heads look to be the same size. iM@S characters have somewhat outsized heads to start out so Iori looks just right on a DDP body imo. Of course if you want to make an OC then I'm thinking she would look perfectly fine on the doll sitting next to her. Not sure if that's DD or DDS.

Rainie: Forever clueless that her and Gizella aren't really good friends (Gizzy is annoyed by her) but Rainie talks to her all the time. Even if Gizella tried to get away, Rainie follows her.

 

Gizella was forced to give the body back, but snagged the 2nd one after the original DD that claimed it decided on a an Obitsu 45 cm instead.

 

 

Poor Isabella. She's been waiting about 2 years for a body and I was really thinking the DDP would be right. But the long legs just makes her look older than I really wanted her to be. Her height restriction is dependent on her older sister Lorelai. If it wasn't for that, the DDP might have worked a bit better. Isabella is an 02.

 

I'm frustrated that I really like Iori's default eyes, but they were the wrong color for Skipper. The only blue eyes I had are too big and just make her look freakish. The bright blue "O" type animetic eyes look like they might be right, but that still doesn't resolve the size eyes she needs (it is actually dependent on the iris width, not the stated mm size) and that fact that they are only available at the Doll Point stores. So it looks like I'll have to make them. Really didn't want to but I don't seem to have a choice. I'd appreciate if anyone could post pics if they find them of Iori with any Volks animetic eyes (any color), and eye size if stated.

I got Yayoi but have not opened her yet.

 

I think I am having buyers remorse mainly since I am about to have a baby...

 

I would rather not sell her but I am afraid to open her in case I really should sell her in the near future.

Even though you're unsure, I think you should check the doll to make sure she has all her accessories and that nothing is broken. That way in case you do decide to sell her you know everything is there and in excellent condition

Looks like Iori works fine on DDS. I think DDPs have big head to make them look young and petite, while Azone 50s have smaller heads to make them look like DDs but at 50cm instead of 60cm

In the case of iM@S all the girls have very outsized heads.

 

Azusa is 22 iirc.

 

Ritsuko is a year younger than Azusa.

 

And there is Chihaya, Haruka, and Miki. Iirc Miki is the youngest here at 15.

You have to buy a base for it, which is linked at the bottom.

I was wondering how Iori would look in some other wigs. I hadn't really thought about it because I didn't think I had wigs that would fit her, but her head's only a bit smaller than Yaya's, it seems.

 

First of all, our lovely Deko-chan in her default wig,

The wig I usually have on Yaya, an 8" Crobi wig,

 

 

 

Another Crobi 8" wig, one that I frequently have on Sakuya. She totally looks like Shanna

The wig I usually have on Miku, which is a Volks Doll Point wig,

 

“I'm not that kind of idol!”

 

A Crobi 9-10" wig (it's giant) that I bought to try on Rin,

I don't think it'll be a tight fit, but I do think the legs won't fit if it's a full body suit.

On the subject of wigs Asuna V1s wig is nice too. It’s quite soft and the fibers are good quality. Still it’s just a small number of limited Volks wigs that are really nice in my experience. Freely admited I don’t have all of their limiteds, nor do I plan to, but in a few more years we’ll probably be able to ask Billy for a comprehensive analysis.

I think they have plans for this body.

 

I’d guess these will trickle out at Dolpas, so you will probably have to wait awhile for a full range of products, but I’d rather they spent the time to properly engineer these things.

Awhile back I think Foo posted about taking body suits and cutting them up to make body protection for legs and arms. Conversely if an MDD suit fits the DDP body, but the legs/arms are too short you could just cut them off to make a shorty. If you don’t hem them though they will fray at the edges, and that might be really bad with some materials.

 

You could check the member shops to see if any of the forum seamstresses can turn a DD bodysuit into a DDP suit. We’ve got some folks with the skillz to do it if I can be done.

 

For the record no idea if the MDD body torso matches DDP, but they can share some outfits.

So cute! I hope to make Yayoi into a boy but it'll be so hard finding clothes for a boy of that size :/

Thought I broke her for a minute there. Her right leg fell off and when I put it back on it was loose. Didn't see that the socket is keyed to the peg so it only goes in one way.

Oh and the hoody doesn't fit on her boof head.

I was thinking that it's possible MSD hoodies don't fit because DD heads are SD sized, whereas MSD heads are much smaller, but then again, MDD heads are also SD sized.
