Yayoi is pretty perfect (pun intended,) and that wig suits her well.

 

I did get a pair of MSD stands with the extenders, and they are pretty nice. I would like it if the base were a bit wider, but the DDP center of gravity is so low I doubt it makes any real difference. They aren't going anywhere in any quake that doesn't knock my building down.

As I don't think I've seen any picture or comparison of them together, what's the relative szie of the base between the Volks MDD and DD stands?

MDD base seems to be about 4.75 inches vs 6.25 inches for the DD/SD stand. That's a rough measurement. I didn't want to remove the dolls from the stands.

 

However you can position the legs on a DD farther apart without them going off the edge of the stand compared to a DDP on the MDD stand. The size off the MDD stand base seems to be smaller relative to the size of the doll. Of course it's an MDD stand with an extender, so this isn't really unusual.

 

I believe the SD stand has an extender to fit it to SD16/17. I think the effect would be similar with an SD16 on the SD stand.

I got all three of them. I was looking forward to Anya the most, but when Yayoi arrived she ended up being the one I liked the most. The Volks photos didn’t do her justice. She’s perfect even in her default wig.

At the time of the preorder, I wasn't particularly interested in them so I never ordered. But having seen owner photos of them, especially Yayoi, I'm kinda wishing I had done now.
