DDP Iori Minase and Yayoi Takatsuki(and Volks news 70)

I am being so impatient x,x but I am so ready for my Yayoi! D: Volks please email me soon... lol

 

I ordered my Yayoi through USA, because I wanted to give them a sale for bringing iM@S in to the US for once. Now I have to wait till December for her, but I kind of expected that.

 

I like her a lot more in the original TV series than I did in Xenoglosia. Her devotion to taking care of her family on top of being an idol was pretty nice.

Iori will be my first Dollfie and my first BJD so this wait for the payment request is killing me. Probably not the best doll for a beginner considering the new body type.

Aaaaaarg, how much longer till we get the International one?! I'm dying to pay for the girls so they come quickly.

Volks USA sent emails saying beginning of October for their payment. I would think that this will roughly correspond to the time that Volks International is ready to start fulfilling orders for the dolls.

 

I'm betting anything in the next 2 - 4 weeks you'll get a payment request.

Nothing mentionned. I guess we could get payment requests from the 1rst of October or from the 14th for the first batch. For the "sequential" second batch, it is much harder to tell. X'D

Payment is Oct 4th - November 13th for batch 1, and Oct 17th to December 4th for batch 2. Those are Japan Time days.

Edit: One quick follow up. I notice that the website says Oct 4th (Fri) but in an hour it will be Oct 3rd in Japan. Depending on which date is right, the 4th or Friday, we could be getting payment notices as early as tomorrow.

 

The Oct 17th is a Tuesday, so batch 2 doesn't seem to have a typo.

 

I'm going to guess that they really mean Tuesday the 4th for batch 1 because that neatly puts the interval between batch payments at 2 weeks.

Closer to 6 weeks per doll. The second link I posted up above has all the payment info spelled out, so if you haven’t checked it already I would encourage you to do so. Given that there is at least one typo I’d say follow whatever the email says if it gives a different window. Volks could always change the website without notice.

 

Still 6 weeks is a godsend. My Anya is phase 1, and Iori is phase 2. As much as I want her as fast as Anya I’m paying her in November. My cat ate most of my money for the next two months.

I got my payment request for Iori~

 

This is my first pre-order with volks so it’s a bit exciting. Now to wait for shipping!

I'll just relieved to finally get the girls paid for. I still can't figure out how my brain will deal with having three new girls at once.

 

The only thing that bothers me is I'm really happy about getting them, but so far not excited. That has nothing to do with the girls themselves though. It's just a huge reminder that this has been the shittiest year for me, hands down. So much of how I thought the world simply worked has completely dumped me on my head because of insane food allergies. I think I have spent more time being sick and in severe pain this year than feeling well and normal. It's been hard doing anything hobby related because of it.

 

It's just been hard to get excited about girls who aren't here yet when I have to wonder if the next new food I eat, or one that has been safe for months, will make me painfully sick.

 

...

 

As usual I wandered of in the middle of typing (baby kitten needed to be fed) and forgot to come back.

 

Then an email arrived... and my girls are now paid for! I really am delighted. Finally. I can be happy to have them come home. And this was after I feared I'd have to sell one for vet bills (something I'd never, ever had to consider before), but thankfully we found a wonderful vet that doesn't charge up the rear.

 

So just in case anyone is wondering, the shipping for all three girls is 10,100 yen, plus 500 yen EMS Insurance. Our prepaid credit card has a 3% currency conversion cost so that adds another $60 to my total so the final being $1,980 give or take a dollar or two. Just trying to have reminders for those still saving the last few dollars for their girls.

 

And yes, I'm finally smiling.
