sinclair Posted October 19, 2017 As for stands, The only one I've bought is the $2.99 one from Hobby Lobby. Works decent enough to help my girls stay on their feet. And it fits easy in the Volks doll bags. But I do want to get some of those ones from Alice's Collection for photography. As for feet, the DDP and MDD (1/4 doll) are said to share feet, I think. And Foo, I can't see your photos as your personal hosting site is flagged by our web guard here at work. Actually a lot of personal doll sites and blogs are. Someone is overly sensitive about doll bodies I guess.

BeyondTime Posted October 19, 2017 Can someone who ordered two girls check this for me? Can you fit both of them in one box, with or without removing the white carton they hold on to? I was thinking it'll probably save me some shipping since the box will be smaller + customs will more easily believe the value of $200-250 for a smaller box. My friend gets creeped out and disgusted with touching vinyls, so she's really hesitant about even trying without touching them (by taking and placing from the cellophane without touching the girls XD) I think you risk damage to the face-up and vinyl in the form of scratches if you do that, even if you wrap them in a towel or something like that. SD's even get shipped with a plastic bubble over their faces to protect them. Customs probably x-rays a percentage of the packages anyways to validate the contents. My own advice would be don't cirbleepvent customs or taxes. We don't have customs on dolls here, but we do have a Use Tax and I always declare the dolls. One year this cost me around $700 in taxes for 5 after market dolls. That was the year I got Saber Lily. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

I would also ask her to pad them of course. I'm hoping they'll be too tight to move around enough to be damaged. I do not wish to have the conversation about customs avoidance once more I'd just like to know if the two girls can fit in one box. Otherwise I'll have them shipped separately. Cauldroness Posted October 19, 2017 Shailara, if it helps, I can fit two DDs a normal DD box, so I would be shocked if you can't put two DDP in a DDP box. I put them head-to-foot (so one's head is next to the other's feet) and that works just fine. I do have to remove the white carton to make it work. However, that's with all clothing, wigs, and accessories removed. I don't think it'd fit with those items included. Doll Photos & Doll Jewelry Sales: Follow me on Instagram! I do not wish to have the conversation about customs avoidance once more I'd just like to know if the two girls can fit in one box. Otherwise I'll have them shipped separately. I would think that would be a really tight fit with padding and all their stuff. You would probably have to remove all the packaging including the separator inside the box. The clothing itself could then be used as additional padding to prevent shifting. I would say wrap anything metal in a bit of bubble wrap to be safe. The only thing about those pink iM@S outfits is they wrinkle and I’m not even sure you can iron that stuff. Sorry I can’t recall if you got the extra outfits, but adding those might be pushing it inside the box. Conversely if you did order them the doll box and the outfit should be in a box that is deeper than the doll box itself. That extra space held the outfit and some paper packing to prevent stuff from shifting. You could fit some of the default outfits in that space without unpacking them. Then you leave the internal separator in and put one doll on the bottom along with some padding so she doesn’t shift. Volks does sell the face guards too. She's already going through all the trouble to receive and ship them to me. What about shipping the dolls in the doll box, one on top and one on the bottom, then shipping the outfits in a smaller box? That should save some money on shipping. Honestly, while I don’t know how carefully Greece would check in customs, the more you stuff in one package the more expensive it’s going to look on a scan. SisterKyoya Posted October 19, 2017 I really don't see why both girls and their default outfits can't be shipped in one box. Yayoi's accessories only filled like half the space in the lower half of the box, and Iori's was similar. Even if they don't quite fit, there is still some room on the top for their default stuff. Edit: Also if you notice, the separator is still in the box. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram

Cauldroness Posted October 19, 2017 Oh wow, they have the BIG boxes! I was thinking the little yellow boxes. I fit 4 DDs in the big boxes, no problem. Two above the cardboard barrier and two below. Definitely stick all the outfit stuff below the cardboard barrier, and the two dolls on top (head-to-foot as shown in Kyoya's photo). A bit of bubble-wrap around the head is all you really need to protect the face-up. Fill the empty space with crumbled up packaging paper or bubble wrap to keep them from rattling around and you're set. Doll Photos & Doll Jewelry Sales: Follow me on Instagram! As far as shipping Ignore me and go with what Cauldroness and Sister Kyoya said. I think they have it right. My concerns largely have to do with how I see airport workers handle bags, but if Cauldroness says bubble wrap is good enough she’s as good as it gets for doll info around here. Shailara Posted October 19, 2017 Ahhh thank you so much guys!! I have told my friend, so now to wait and see if she can do it! I feel really bad for putting her in this position (having to handle DDs, I mean). Yhank you so so much for the help and tips I believe if they don't move so that their faces get rubbed anywhere, the face-ups will be protected enough by the cellophane, no? Nevertheless, we'll see when the time comes. First comes getting the ok from friend. Again, thank you thank you! And congrats on your new girls Kyoya!!! SisterKyoya Posted October 20, 2017 I'd really 2nd the bubble wrap, or even quite a few layers of thick paper towels over their heads just to be safe. Volks faceups are pretty sturdy, but that's one part you don't want to take chances on. Bodies are replaceable. Clothes if damaged can be replaced because there is usually people who didn't want them in the first place. But the faces? If you ask me, that's almost the real reason for paying the premium prices for the limited girls. And thanks about my girls. As I posted in the Anastasia thread, I really didn't know what my energy levels would be today (pretty low actually) so I didn't want to set expectations for myself that I couldn't reach. They arrived at 11 am and it is now just after 5 pm and I still haven't even opened Anastasia's box. Granted, much of the stuff is being pieced out to various Kiddos, some WIP are getting finished, Yayoi's head is getting stored for now until I get closer to when I can work on her (she will be an MDD), and Ringo has been having a field day with her new hair. It is more perfect than I could have guessed, and now her personality is fully coming out. I've been posting a few pics on my Instagram (link in my sig) but that's all I've got energy for right now. It feels so very strange to be so very, very happy but not excited. That's not a bad thing for me. I just don't have the energy to be excited. I tend to look like a 5 year old, after too much sugar at a birthday party, who talks a 100 miles a minute. Its utterly draining. Instead I've been more like "I'll do what I can do, and that will be enough." Part of me is cursing that viewpoint because I want to do a bunch of body comparison pics with the DDP, but realistically it will be a few more days. I'm itching to try out some blue eyes in Skipper (Iori) but I really love her in the blond wig. The default eyes are wrong for Skipper's character so I just keep seeing her as 'Blond Iori' (in the pic I posted.) She's almost Skipper, but those eyes are such a huge distraction. Even though I haven't been cranking them out, it has been a lot of fun taking pics of my DD again. I'm looking forward to opening Anastasia because even just the pic on the box of her face is stunning! I can't believe I almost passed her up. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram

I'd say ask your friend to do the bubble wrap. I can totally understand not wanting to impose, but you can always do something nice for her as a thank you. Besides she might decide she likes DD. Oni-Chan Posted October 20, 2017 Could someone please let me know, is leg length the only issue when trying msd/mdd pants on Ddp or is there difference in the hips/thighs as well? Thanks! I have more dollfies than my age in years *×*

BeyondTime Posted October 20, 2017 As for feet, the DDP and MDD (1/4 doll) are said to share feet, I think. Hmm, here's hoping they fit then because the heels I bought from Volks (SB-MSD-162) listed for DDP seem a little lose, but I'm not sure how tight they're supposed to be. It can vary a bit. A lot of their stuff is designed for SD, but sort of fits a fits a corresponding DD size. The frustrating thing about the DDP at the moment is there isn't a lot specifically made for them yet. They apparently don't take MDD underwear. This make sense given they are probably intended for tween to early teen as an age range, and that means narrower waist and wider hips than an MDD. They do seem to take some MDD outfits like the MDD swimsuit from the last Dolpa. I picked one up for Iori, and in point of fact it's late October and all my iM@S girls are still wearing theirs so she can wear hers with them when she arives. This page has some measurements, but no DDP base body available yet. http://www.dollfiedream.tokyo/en/dollfiedream/basebody.html/ There is also an in depth measurement post here. At some point maybe someone will add DDP to this. viewtopic.php?f=21&t=44 Ahhh thank you so much guys!! I have told my friend, so now to wait and see if she can do it! If your friend has to remove them from the plastic sleeve then definitely don't use newspaper as a filler. I mention it because she probably won't know how badly the print ink will stain them.
