Volks DD Eyes

Most of us know that Volks stock photos aren't the greatest, so this is causing me a minor issue. I will be buying MDD standard doll, but I will be changing her wig and eyes (I thought about building one, but then I'd have to get a faceup done. And more importantly wouldn't get the slip and panties!). I've decided on green, and on the Volks site they have metallic and "regular" eyes. For the life of me, I can not see any difference between them from the web site photos. Just what is the visual difference?

Metallic are printed on a more metallic paper/substrate, so they reflect a bit more light than regular. It's pretty subtle in Volks eyes, though.

 

That said, I personally find Volks eyes to be pretty damn "meh" for the most part; there's a reason I made custom eyes for all my open-eyed girls. ^^;
