MrFjmg03 Posted September 24, 2016 Tangerine is a woman that likes to change her appearance constantly. She always looks for something that inspire her and then she gives it her own personal touch. This week she was inspired by Lolita fashion.
Anna-neko Posted September 24, 2016 I'm sorry to be "that guy", but it looks more like she's channeling some New Romantic looks of the 80s! (which is def more interesting than slapping ita on this anyway.....)

(which is def more interesting than slapping ita on this anyway.....) Im okay with that. But the outfit she put together still inspire in Lolita fashion. She took the things she like the most about it and incorporate them into her own style creating something that made her feel comfortable and happy. The outfit only have a few elements of Lolita fashion with many other fashion styles mix into it.
Anna-neko Posted September 24, 2016 As a card-carrying lolita frills fashion wearer we do get weird about that term getting thrown around <_<;; Her outfit is a nice blend, did not mean to sound negative. From the ruffled front to the ribbon pulled thru the eyelet trim *_* ♫♪♥ all her accessories are so cute! Are those candies haircips you found or made? Everything she is wearing except the shoes, necklace, and wig was made by my friend AlisonVonderland and a gift. She is very talented she also the one who did Tangerine face up. Right now she is working on a costume outfit for Tangerine that I commission. So if God permits maybe next week we will see Tangerine in a different style of clothing By the way I read on your profile that you like the muppets. Me too. My favorite is Miss piggy. I have two Robert Tonner Miss Piggy dolls. One 11" and the other one 16"
Anna-neko Posted September 24, 2016 (edited) so basically.. Tangerine has her own personal bespoke stylist! lucky girl ooooh man, The Muppets are... and A TON OF Jim Henson stuff in general, are just like... forgive teh cliche ~~ MAGIC! ~~ I don't really own any merch tho, just the 3 DVD boxsets Disney could be bothered to release (almost had a whatnot puppet from their workshop in FAO Schwartz.. but.. ehh.. waited too long, now the shop is gone) but uh... as a grown adult, seeing (one of) on-screen used Miss Piggy's ... is one of my highlights! sinclair Posted September 25, 2016 You've seen a Muppet in person?!? Lucky. Kermit was always my fav of the bunch. We used to watch the show every weekend when it was on. The rainbow connection is one of my fav songs of all time. Anywho, Tangerine's outfit is sweet, but not sure if I'd classify it as lolita. Inspired I can take. There was an exhibit couple years ago in Astoria, and they had a whole bunch of Muppets on display (including Manah Manahs, Rowlf, Bert & Earnie and of course Kermit at the entrance) and they showed one of his non-puppet experimental films: Time Piece
