The Mini Maid Brigade is complete!!

YES YES YES!!! After what feels like ages, I've finally been able to get ALL of my MDD sized girls their own maid uniforms and weapons! A huge thanks goes to my girlfriend Goodgolly for her help in either making maid sets for me or buying me some for my b-day. Thanks babe!

 

This isn't my usual photo story where Rei hands out weapons and such because I was so excited to get all my little ones setup that I couldn't wait to share.

 

So the following is photos of my girls and descriptions of their weapons and why they have those.

First up we have Hitomi and Konami! Hitomi ( on the left ) uses a 12 gauge shotgun for her weapon. This gun is actually a very old 1950's toy made by the Marx Toy company. I got it for 5 bucks at a flea market because the guy didn't know what he had. Hitomi really likes western stuff like Annie Oakley so this is why she got this gun.

 

Konami has a magical ice sword as her weapon. Since she's a magical girl with ice and snow powers, this sword makes a perfect fit for her. The sword itself is a Fairy Land weapon designed by Dave Crook. It has the distinction of having a big story behind its making.... seems originally the weapon was a full scale sword made by Dave and then someone at Fairy Land copied it without his consent. They finally worked something out with it as the paperwork it came with has his name all over it.

Next we have Bud and the two kitten sisters Kiririn and Kikirin! The two kitty girls both have the same weapons..... giant boxing gloves! All cats love to bat things around with their paws so these make it easy for them to pummel anyone who decides to cross paths with them!

 

As for Bud, her weapons are specially designed to keep the cat girls in line and focused. Bud wields a Super Soaker for the occasions where the kitties go a bit overboard and need to be calmed down or to refocus their attentions. She also uses a red laser pistol to lead the girls to potential targets and to let them blow off some steam with a little "red dot chasing" for fun and exercise.

Now for more sisters! Minako ( the taller one ) and Nami are both direct sisters to Manami and Mamimi. Minako uses a green lightsaber for her weapon of choice. She's a massive Star Wars fan and she can use either single or dual sabers whenever she chooses.

 

Nami uses very small weapons that allow her to easily hide them and get in close and in your face. Her main implements are the black kunai knives seen in her hands. She can throw them or slash and stab with them up close. She also uses the dual bladed KOSMOS knife for situations where she's had to throw her kunai at targets. Nami has a very close tie to Konami but that's a secret for now.

Ahhh Kaitlynn.... she is so happy to be part of the Mini Maids! She loves dressing up and was super happy about getting her own weapons and her handmade uniform. Unfortunately, Kaitlynn is distracted very easily and gets extremely overexcited really fast. So to deal with this and to keep her fellow maids and herself from getting into too much trouble or harm, she got to carry dual NERF rifles! She can shoot them at anyone and anything and not really cause too much damage with them. But her real weapon is the way she ENJOYS shooting them at ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING with unrelenting gusto. She's been known to unload over 250 darts in a single minute just because she can.

And speaking of overwhelming firepower, we have our frontline super gunner Louise! She uses the KOSMOS gatling gun to literally mow down enemies. Since she isn't so great with her magic ( don't tell her I said that! ) she decided she needed something that would show people that she means business. I think this does it.

Last but not least, we have Kino and Umi! Kino is also a magical girl and since she's very in tune with nature, she uses a magical wooden wand with a huge crystal on the tip. She can control various natural forces with it including any plants or rocks/bits of earth.

 

Umi uses an assault rifle that's fully automatic. She can use it like a sniper or get in close with it. The rifle is actually a gashapon kit made by Tomy and it can fire actual little bullets! The clip even carries those bullets and comes out of the gun. The little kickstand folds down from under the barrel too.

Now for the grand finale! If you have a brigade, you need a group photo right? So here's the entire Mini Maid Brigade in all their glory!

Thank you very much! While my little maids do like to defend the house and train with their weapons, actual maid duties like cleaning and cooking are NOT anywhere on their radar. If I could get even HALF my girls to clean up after themselves, I'd be super happy.

Thanks so much! I've had those boxing gloves for a while now but never used them for anything. But when we started looking for weapons for the girls, as soon as we came to the kitty girls, those gloves jumped out at me immediately. I'm glad you think it was a good choice for them.

 

As for 30 more little ones..... please no! I'd have to move into the garage in order to have space for them! And I'm not a fan of staying out there by myself....
