Halloween Costumes using a DD

Has anyone used their DD as part of their costume? And if so, how?

 

I have Miku and thought of becoming a stage for her to preform on, but that'd be rather big and bulky, and only anime fans would even get it. I also thought of carrying her around and be the BFG, but after looking at movie stills and the book cover, a MDD would be much better suited for that.

At the local ComiCon last year, I dressed up as a steampunk March Hare, and carried my Miku around as Alice. I think I may have to make Abby fill that role in the future instead, but next time have a giant "Drink Me" bottle to imply she's been shrunk. =P

 

Additionally, while I still haven't followed through on this (for no particular reason), I have an elaborate white-and-sky-blue fairy princess costume, and have considered carrying Nanoha around in her black-and-burgundy fairy gear. I should totally do it.

 

Plus, if there's ever a Smart Doll Boy that makes good 10th Doctor bait, I'm SO dressing up as the TARDIS while I carry him around.

I've dressed up several times and included one of my girls as part of the overall setup.

 

Last Halloween my GF and I dressed up in kigus as 2 of the raptors from Jurassic World. We had one more MDD dressed in a dinosaur kigu to make 3 of us and then we had Sumiko dress as Chris Pratts character from the movie. Here's a photo of us in the attack posture where he fends us off:

And while not for Halloween, I dressed up for Animazement last year as Shirou Emiya from Fate/Stay Night and had Rin along with me. We met this really great guy doing Archer and we did a bunch of pics with him. Here's one showing all 3 of us:

My buddy Ed and my GF Becca also used DDs with their costumes... Ed was Alto from Macross and he had his Sheryl Nome with him. He he is with me and Rin:

 

 

Becca was Maya Fey from the Phoenix Wright video game series, she had her MDD Sumi dressed as a tiny Phoenix Wright... complete with business suit ( that she made ) and a cool briefcase! Here they are:

 

 

And for Halloween this year, I might do a pirate and have one of my girls dress as something similar. Manami would make a good pirate wench right? LOL

Awesome ideas. After some thought, I might just do a BFG type thing this year as the movie is fresh and more people I'm around might get it. But I'm sure I'll mostly get, "Why are you carrying a doll around."
