I'm Cosette, from Ohio. I've had BJDs for almost two years, but my first love was Obitsu.

 

I've been planning to get a SmartDoll or Dollfie Dream, but yesterday I impulse bought a resin anime-style head. I'm currently trying to decide what sort of body to put her on and she still needs eyes, but I have a feeling she's going to be a gateway to a lot more anime dolls!

For me, the difference between BJD and dollfile dream ( I don't have obitsu so i would skip that) is that

Dollfie Dream are much friendly to pose and hold the pose XD they are light and SQUISH!!!

but pretty easy to stain though! Our resin friend has different texture~

I got a chance to play with some Dollfie Dreams at a meetup I went to a few days ago.

They're so much fun to pose and they hold poses so much better than my strung dolls!

 

and yes, the squishy boobies are wonderful

Hey, welcome! Obitsus are quite nice so I wouldn't write them off just yet. There's a lot of body type variety with them if you really like a shorter girl compared to Smart Doll or DDs, and they pose nicely. DDs and Smart Dolls are definitely beautiful though, and MDDs are just adorable. ^^ What resin head did you get?

Nice! I think a few others here have that head too. I bet she'll look adorable on a shorter body! My only experience with anime resins bjd are sq lab, admittedly. I have two heads, though one is floating for now.. ^^" Their bodies are/will be vinyl though!

Hello from Alabama. An obitau was actually my first doll. I do love the lightness and I think the framework is really cool in these vinyl girls.

that's cool you want a resin style anime doll. I have interest in some of those myself. I want two SQ lab dolls for myself. I do not have any BJD just one DD but I really love her so far.
