kinkachou Posted November 18, 2016 Hi guys-- i'm buncho, and i've been watching this forum for a while but finally decided to join! I've been in the hobby since... either 2012 or 2013 I think, but I didn't get my first DD until 2014. Dollfie Dreams were originally how I became interested in BJD -- I remember stumbling across them on someone's blog, and I was so amazed by the quality of the clothing the dolls were wearing, and how customizable they were! I was in college at the time, and I thought that I'd probably never be able to afford a doll like that, so I started collecting 1/6 scale Obitsus (which I still have and love), which were more compatible with my lifestyle at that point (smaller and much easier to find props for). Summer of 2014 rolled around, and right around the time I was to take my nursing boards, I came across a barely used DD for sale secondhand online. I totally jumped at the chance! And so, just as I passed my boards and became a full-fledged RN, my first girl (Chiruri) came into my life Since then she's gained two sisters -- also DD's -- and at the moment I'm not really planning on expanding my collection further (though it seems once you've "caught the bug," it's hard to stop adding to the family...)
