How to buff out a small shallow scratch?

Recommended Posts

Lawrence Elsa

Hello, as a new member I would like to make my presence known.

I bought a set of clothes for a Dollfie Dream Miku, but while putting on her stalkings I scratched her on the backside. I am wondering if there is a way to buff it out or file it down to make the texture match the rest of the skin. if you have any tips or ideas, please let me know. additionally, what grit should I use and/or what kind of polish to use.

Thank you very much.

3M makes softback sanding sponges in various degrees of coarseness (fine, superfine, ultrafine, microfine). They can be used for wet or dry sanding. I've read that the microfine works really well for "fingernail marks" (scratches from accidental rough handling or bumps), but I'd be cautious regardless and maybe only give it a try on a headcap or spare hand before you go taking it to the scratch itself.
