Monty Posted November 26, 2016 Earlier this month I went to Huistenbosch in Nagasaki and decided to take Rin, I just didnt get the chance to upload pics for a while. Huistenbosch is a theme park modelled on the Netherlands, as Nagasaki has a lot of Dutch influence. There's a lot of beautiful buildings and gardens so it's always been a favourite spot for hobbies that involve photos in Kyushu - from dolls to cosplay. I was surprised to learn Volks have had events here, too! (I honestly had no idea they even did events in Kyushu) Hopefully they'll have another one while I'm still living here - Nagasaki is a lot closer to me than most Volks events after all. Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr This building is near the entrance, there's also a teddy bear museum in it! I kind of wish I'd got a photo of Rin with some of the bears. There's a teddy bear that's about three or four metres tall in there too. Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr The windmills and one of the many hotels in the park in the distance. That one is the most expensive and fancy I believe - I think its also where Volks had their event. I dont have any pics of that though; my phone takes decent pictures in daylight but not at night unfortunately. Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr 'I cant wear shoes like this! They're made out of wood! Who wears shoes made of wood?!' 'I dont think that's the main problem here...' Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr Rin is amused by the name of this eatery. Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr 'YEEEEEAH CHEESE!' Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr Just saying hello to one of the townsfolk... Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr And a fancy chair... Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr 'Hey, that building looks cool. Let's go check it out!' Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr 'TA-DA!' Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr 'A canal cruise seems so romantic'. (I tried to get the boat in this shot but it moved too fast;;) Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr At one of the flower gardens. This one has some very pretty lights at night, too. Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr "Can we go on the ferris wheel? Can we can we?" We didn't have time. Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr One of my favourite photos of the day. Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr We did get to go up that tall tower in this picture though. Rin goes to Huistenbosch by torinomh mh, on Flickr 'Wow! Did we really walk that far?!" Huistenbosch is HUGE! This is the third time I've been and I still haven't seen all of it (although this time I was with people who hadn't been before). I'd like to go again some time, you really need time to see everything, that photo doesnt even show half of it. If you find yourself in Nagasaki anytime, it's worth the visit. Great for photos without being incredibly crowded like most other theme parks. It's not that its unpopular, its just got a more relaxed feel to it. I guess that depends when you go, though. *twitter*instagram*art*

kinkachou Posted November 27, 2016 this is a really, really fantastic location for a photoshoot-- i can see why cosplayers would flock to it, and doll enthusiasts, too! in the picture of rin sitting on the fencepost in front of that building... is the building draped in lights, too? i've never seen netting like that. these are all such cute photos, i think the chocolate one is especially adorable Black lives matter.
