DD Plans and Hopes: 2017!

-hope that Volks releases another boy, or -slams on wood- a man.

 

-hope that Volks at least announce plans for Megurine Luka, but I'm honestly happy to wait for that.

 

-Barring no surprise releases, I might actually put together the MDD boy I've wanted for a while, although that does depend on a lot of factors.

 

My goal next year is, to be honest, to spend less money than I did this year. For those of you who regularly buy a lot of dolls its no biggy, but for someone who only just started, three fullset 1/3 vinyl dolls in one year is a LOT. I need to be more responsibile with my money, plus I'd like to travel a little more next year also. I'd actually be quite happy if I didnt get any more dolls next year until an inevitable birthday purchase (which isnt till november anyway). We'll see how that goes lol, especially with volks full choice system beckoning to me so much.

2. It happened! Volks released Kirito last year and will release 9S this year.

3. Volks also announced Luka last year.

4. I didn't put the MDD together - I never even got the body. In fact it kind of ended up a failure because the head I bought didnt end up working out for what I wanted at all. I still like the head a lot but I cant really afford to have too many dolls around so I'll be selling her. This is a shame as I really love MDDs and really want one but SDCRenee getting rereleased last year also threw a spanner in that.

5. I guess I...technically spent less money on DDs last year? The only new DD I got was Bri, and since she was a D'Coord she was a lot cheaper than a limited fullset. I also got Miku's body. Although I did buy a lot of pricey outfits, like Twinkle Snow and Pure Wind But I did also get to travel a decent amount so that was good.

Since there's at least two limited fullsets i'm gonna want this year (Luka and 9S) i'm already forecast to spend more than I did last year 8')

My plan for 2017 is to

• Get more shoes
  Get more casual clothing
  Get Naomi's Corpse Party uniform custom made
  Start opening a custom DD eye shop
  Buy that dream rescue cream for my Miku's shoulder stains
  Probably get an Smart doll male body + customize a DDH to make an OC
  Get a DDH-01(or 10) for a spare MDD body I own for some odd reason and make Shiro from No Game No Life.
  And to hopefully stop buying dolls. This hobby is expensive lol

 

 

1. I got some casual clothing for my boy at least.

2. I got the uniforms made but sadly since I scrapped making the entire cast of Corpse Party I just sold all the uniforms off.

3. I started to get very ill from playing with resin(Even with wearing all required forms of protection), I stopped making eyes. So nogo on that.

4. Sold off Miku rip.

5. I ended up just buying an entire smart doll boy. Until Volks releases much more mature male sculpts then I will buy a DD head.

6. Sold off the body rip plus now that DDP is a thing it would be better to use that.

7. I luckily sold off most of my dolls to new happy owners. I switched hobbies from DDs to Nendoroids, a little less expensive but still enough to satisfy my customization needs.

Wow, I'm really late on posting in this but my plans for the remainder of 2017 would be:

 

- Finally buy the DDH09 head I've been eyeing for my first DD

- Also save up and buy a male Obitsu body for him

- Possibly work on (or commission) his faceup? (If I have the money and time for it before 2017 ends)

 

It's short and simple but that's because this is going to be my first DD and there isn't a lot of time left in 2017 so... yeah! (⌒▽⌒)☆

 

For my first DD, everything surprisingly went all according to plan!! I got the DDH09 and began modding and even applying some of the faceup, though it's still far from being finished. I also got the Obitsu body I was planning on getting him which actually was the first thing to be completed on my list. I've also managed to do an extra thing to tick off which was buying clothes and a wig for him! Eyes are still a no-go for now but I'm extremely happy with all I managed to complete in the short frame of time I had until 2017 ended!
