A fast storage option I used while moving

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! Been a little while since I visited but I am super busy as heck because I moved recently and I'll be moving again very soon (so might not be able to follow up on this - apologies in advance!).

I was moving a lot of stuff and I still hadn't committed to buying a bag for my Smart Doll yet and was running out of time to figure out a safe way to transport her in my car. I had a lot of things the movers were moving but I also had a lot of things that I was personally moving myself (whether because they were expensive, delicate, etc.).

Obviously, I didn't want the movers to move my doll but I was moving a lot of things in my car and was worried if I had her just sitting in the seat wrapped in a blanket that she'd get damaged somehow. But, I found a last minute storage solution for her!

The box is a gift wrap box from The Container Store (here: http://www.containerstore.com/s/gift-packaging/organizers/clear-gift-wrap-box/12d?productId=10023588)

Obviously, it's a little on the long side but that's okay. It's just deep enough that the doll fits in there wrapped with fabric or a blanket without "smashing" or forcing it in there with the lid on. The white fabric is just some faux fur fabric I had laying around but obviously you can use whatever you want.

Anyway that's all for now - I hope this helps anybody if you're moving and don't have a bag or storage solution yet for your doll I don't know if this would work for long-term storage or not (probably don't recommend it for that) but worked great for simply moving her without worrying about damage
