NICO NICO KNEE Posted December 7, 2016 Is it normal for volks wig to shed a clump of hair? I am new in the dollfie world, and got a brand new melty from a seller. She was displayed on my desk for a few months, away from the window. Then I noticed that her hair was dusty as time passes and decided to wash it by soaking it in cool water as describe by many guides and dry it right beside a table fan. After a few weeks, I went on to put her wig back but while in the process I pulled out a clump of hair and panicked as usually only a strain of hair comes out once in awhile but a clump of hair is something I did not expect. Now I have the fear of handling any of my volks wig due to the incident.
Mimiyo3 Posted December 7, 2016 How big was this clump exactly? If it was just a small grouping of them I wouldn't think it's too weird, unusual, but it happens and likely isn't a big deal, now if it's a big one and it's absence from the wig is noticeable then that's incredibly strange. I've never had a problem like that with my volks wigs, or any of my wigs in general for that matter. Present! NICO NICO KNEE Posted December 7, 2016 It's a small grouping, similar to the groups of hair sewed onto the wig cap. That group of hair belongs to the curl on the front side of the wig, which I did not touch while putting it on my doll.
Mimiyo3 Posted December 7, 2016 Well, that can happen. It's not common exactly, but I'd say if it doesn't happen again it's not the end of the world. Present!
