Volks USA October Collection

ARRRGH! Where did this come from? This one completely blindsided me. I thought I was done until at least February.

 

Autumn Classical / Cafe Mocha looks like something for Cynthia. And, of course, she needs those heels too. And the Bambi Cape.

 

Autumn Classical / Smoky Blue might be nice for Tecra. Not sure yet. It seems it might be a good companion for those Azurite sets I have for my girls.

 

Autumn Classical / Red Leaves leaves me indifferent for some reason. I'm not sure why. Normally, I really like that particular shade of deep red. Not jumping at the Beret and Mittens either.

 

Luckily, I'm safe from the Nadeshico sets. I have two similar outfits already to those and my girls hardly ever wear them. Since my girls never do the schoolgirl thing, I'm safe from the mary janes type shoes too. Also, not interested in the Ribbon Girl set.

 

Still, bad enough. $250 or so more of potential expenses this Christmas. Will I ever have money again?

Volks needs to hurry up and let everyone know Santa Alter results already, 'cause cannot afford all the things, but if lose Alter lottery than hellz yeah can enter Ribbon Girl lottery!

Okay so can someone explain to me incase I missed it. If you enter for outfits for their lotteries - are you bound to buy all that you win? So for example if I go in for Ribbon Girl and Lazuline Nadeshiko, if I somehow in some strange fashion won Ribbon Girl and Lazuline at the same time, am I dinged for only buying one?

 

Their new setup seems to not really cover if you enter the lottery for the clothing collections but then fail to buy all of the items you won. I've only won once, and that was this past one ... I got 4 out of the 5 things I entered for and I bought all 4. Just wanted to check because Ribbon Girl? Heck yes I want it, but Lazuline is a runner up if I didn't win Ribbon... But it'd be a pickle if I won both b/c I'd only be able to afford one

This one blind sided me as well, and I want to know the Saber results as if I get her there is an outfit I have to get her, but there is no reason to get it if I don't win. I will go for Ribbon Girl once again, hope to win this time.

 

As for not buying, they do not ding you like with the dolls, AFAIK. Last lottery I put in for the blue shoes, but somehow won the red shoes (?!?) but I didn't buy them. I've still been able to buy stuff since. But then I also sent an email stating there was an error, but never heard back.

As far as I know if you fail to buy the lottery items you won you are unable to enter for future lotteries. They still sell you stuff normally. That's just what I have read, and I have no first hand experience blowing up my own Volks account.

I've had really good luck entering for SD16 stuff in the USA clothing lotteries, but I know a lot of people tried for Ribbon Girl the last time and lost. My own recommendation would be to think of it as a commitment to purchase, and only enter for those items you can afford to pay for if you win them. It's better to be safe than mess up your access to the USA lotteries.

 

The rules do state that once you enter cancellations are not accepted either before or after you win.

Well, my entry is done.

 

I decided not to go for the Smoky Blue set at all, but reversed my decision and entered for the beret and mittens. I also decided I wanted to try for the cushion.

 

So, if you didn't enter for Cafe Mocha, Bambi Cape, the black heels, beret and mittens set, or the cushion, then you don't have to worry about competition from me.

 

The only two I really hope I don't whiff on are the Cafe Mocha set and the heels. So, hopefully those are in plentiful stock or everyone else is too distracted by the Ribbon Girl set to care about them. Good luck to those who are after the Ribbon Girl set, though!

I really dialed down what I entered for on account of not knowing if I won Saber as well. Here's my 3rd shot at Ribbon Girl. They say 3rd time's a charm...

The Lazuline Nadeshiko / Garnet was quite nice but I don't need more maid outfits. More important to get good outfits from previous years now, for me ;p

I believe you can leave a note when you check out, so I'd put that you've been in an accident so you can no longer get all the items. But I've never seen anything from the USA site that says they'll ban your account for non-payment like with dolls in Japan.

Hi, thanks for the reply! Yes, we are okay (me and my bf). We went to get checked out this morning to be sure. We are kind of sore but the accident was not too bad, just jarred us up a bit. Thanks for asking
