Repairing Shoes

Recommended Posts

Gabriel

I'm wondering what type of glue others would recommend for repairing heels. The heel has partially come free of the bottom of the shoe.

I think I recall seeing this addressed here before, but I couldn't find the thread.

You might be thinking of my post couple months ago, 'cept my issue was at the toe of the shoe....

Anyway, I used superglue that comes in the tiny lil tubes... and weirdly enuff one shoe glued perfectly (is still intact) but the other didn't (the gap isn't as big as before, but still kinda tryin to peel off after a month)

I used epoxy glue when I noticed the sole coming loose on one of my shoes about a week ago and it's been fine since then.

I was going to recommend epoxy as well. There are different kinds for different purposes, and a good hobby store should be able to sell you the right one.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

There is actually a product called 'shoe goo' that is made specifically to fix shoes. It really smells bad, but once its done curing, you will never had a problem again. It is also not hard, but still has flexibility. I don't suppose that matters much with high heels, or shoes that won't be flexed, but for those that need to bend to go on, it'd be important. Plus you can also use shoe goo to fix your own shoes!
