My First Star (Cool)

I got a package from Volks today and since I haven't seen any pictures of the 'My First Star' outfits up yet I thought I'd take some happy snaps. You can see the arm sleeves don't fit very well on the thin arms of a Sister. Also there were a few difficult bits in dressing her.

 

The stockings : You'll get the lines perfectly straight and once you put the boots on they get twisted and squiffed around the ankle.

 

I found the white tuille underskirt had the tendency to invert when placed on the doll no matter which why I put it on.It makes the skirt extra poofy though. So much poof.

 

Sister dolls seem to have thinner arms? The sleeves are rather loose and baggy, put the fingerhoops are adjustable so it has that going for it!

Hows the neck ribbon lining, does it look like staining might happen?

I'd also wonder about those purple shorts. Now that I finally have a vinyl doll, I am in full panic mode over staining. I gotta say though, even though you think the sleeves feel loose, they LOOK just fine to me in the pictures. It is an impressive outfit and I love the detailing in the skirt.

24 hours in and in Australian summer temperatures and no staining yet.

 

I'm not going to be very good at guessing what will and will not stain. I put this dress (http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/hag/item_moe_dress06.html/) on her for a month and a half and ended up with a small stain just on the edge of her ribcage somehow.

 

However, the light blue ribbon around her neck has no lining. It's just the ribbon stitched into a tube the turned inside out and flattened. It is very lose of the medium DDS bust so it is more just resting on the skin then held tight against it.

 

The purple fussy pants are pretty tight though, they prefer to slide up the thighs and off the hips and up into the waist so every time you move her they turn into panties instead of shorts.

 

I've just moved into a new home and she's so gorgeous and flambouyant she's standing in as the Christmas tree.

the blouse is all white, and is tucked into the skirt so the wide black part isn't touching skin.... Maybe the stain wasn't from the clothes but accidental finger dirt when u were getting her dressed?

Yeah. I wash my hands and give her a good looking over everytime I swap outfits because I have a job that leaves my hands horrendous. Potentially it is from another outfit and I missed it. Maybe the maid mentor set which is a shame because it looks so good.

 

I wiped the area with a little damp cloth but the smudge didn't budge. It's alright though, I'm not to fussed as it will always be under clothing.

Week One:

Still no stains!
