lightly Posted December 21, 2016 Hi all, I'm pretty new to the whole DD thing but looking at the previous threads, it seemed like a good idea to firstly check the joints in my (first ever!) large DD - in this case, DDS Kagamine Len - and invest in some CoolCat reinforcement rings for the joints. Whilst gently rotating the arms and legs out of the joints, I noticed the shoulder joints don't seem to look like the ones I've seen on the CC site. Will the CC rings still fit in this case? It looks nothing like the two frames on this page: http://us.sk-coolcat.com/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=v_dd2&Category=382741 It's basically this frame, I guess: https://www.volks.co.jp/page_ex.jsp?CONTROLID=SC0040&BUSINESSID=InitDisp&jancd=4518992386287&version=en Does anyone know which size CC ring to get in this case? In fact, are DDS frame breakages as common as they were earlier? I was reading the thread about breakages but it's pretty old, considering. Thanks for any help you can provide! foo Posted December 29, 2016 The re-enforcements still fit, even though the shape of the thing has changed (hollowed out middle). I haven't heard of breakages since they moved to this design. My first two girls (Sakuya & Yaya) I got re-enforcements for, but I haven't for the rest (Miku, Melty, Rin); Miku and Melty I've had for almost two years now. Early on the DD3 parts weren't available as they are now, and even then that upper skeleton part is only ¥2200 if you need to replace it :/ Does anyone know which size CC ring to get in this case?
