Is it difficult getting clothes for a DDy?

Recommended Posts

So while I don't plan on getting any more new dolls for some time, I do eventually want to get a DDy and DDS some day.

That said, I'm a little worried about how easy it would be to get clothing for a DDy body. The two dolls I have now are a Smart Doll with L bust, and a DD3 for M bust. The DD3 is really versatile and wears most her clothes well, but I already find it kinda difficult finding clothes that don't look weird when worn by my L bust Smart Doll. And this is without having to worry about the thicker thighs of the DDy body.

So yeah, I was wondering, do you guys find it a challenge finding clothes for your DDys? Also, are there any stores you would recommend for clothes for a DDy body?

Not at all! I've got a ton of DDdy girls ( some with the Peach Pai silicone busts ) and finding things that fit them is generally just as easy as finding regular clothing.

Most SD16 resin clothing is a great match for the DDdy girls because the resins are usually bigger proportions, taller or just overall larger than the DDdy girls are so anything labeled for them will work well on the Dynamites. Also, I've found lots of clothing by the following makers say they fit the L-bust but also work nicely on the DDdy:

I really like Jessicas work found here: http://nightfallwalker.web.fc2.com/frame.htm She's also super nice and easy to deal with.

You can also find plenty of places on Etsy that sell DDdy clothing. Tao Bao has nice stuff too but it's harder to buy thru them since you have to use a proxy service.

Hopefully this helps you out!

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

I second the recommendation for SD16 stuff, especially if you're looking for more elegant items. My Agatha's got mostly SD16 clothes.

SD13 *boy* clothes do technically fit too, though they can be quite loose in the waist. Belts and underbust corsets are a great way to make those items look good on the DDDy.

Overall I highly recommend looking out for outfits that come in multiple pieces you can mix and match with stuff you already have. Yes, this is good to do even for regular DDs, but with the DDDy's unique shape it helps even more to get mileage out of the stuff you buy.

In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.

I found out DDDy look better then SD16 or DDL bust in SD13 and SD16 Female clothing but I usually avoid some cuts or it will look weird on DDDY.

Oddly for me DDS and DD outfits are harder to find

ddy has giant hams. Finding things that fit the hips is the trick. I think felicia is wearing sd16 pants if you fancy your ladies wearing pants. I've darted them in hugely and they still don't fit her waist, but the danger is getting the pants past the hips when you put them on with that narrow of a waist.
