MystSaphyr Posted December 23, 2016 (edited) Hello! Myst here. I'm terrible at introductions but here goes... I'm COMPLETELY new to the doll hobby in general. My main pastime for years now has been Vocaloid and UTAU, but I've been watching my online friends collect DDs from afar for a while and it always looked like fun. I'd been eyeing buying one after someone showed me their DD Miku at Miku Expo this year and got to really see the detail and size of the doll up close. So in the past couple of months, my friend CaffeinatedCake finally convinced me to start collecting bits and pieces for a custom project of my UTAU character (Kikyuune Aiko) and I just took the plunge and bought a head to start things off. I guess making a doll bit by bit from scratch is a large undertaking for a newb like me but I think I'm in good hands with Cake's help, and I have a fair amount of sewing experience so I'm excited to try my hand at teeny tiny clothing;; Nice to meet everyone! MystSaphyr Posted December 24, 2016 @Daisy: Aaaah hello! I'm incredibly flattered you like my work ;v; the last thing I expected was to find someone from the UTAU fandom on my welcome post! I just thought it'd be really fun to have an Aiko I can bring to cons for my panels and/or artist alley booths as a lil' mascot or something, so I hope it turns out well! @Mario: Many thanks for the warm welcome! I appreciate it!! ;o;

elianti Posted December 24, 2016 Add me to the list of people that did a doubletake at your username! Custom doll projects can frustrating at times, but it's definitely worth it in the end. Good luck bringing Aiko to life in doll form!
