Snow Miku 2017 - Twinkle Snow (First post updated with info)

Volks will be participating in the Snow Miku festivities at Sapporo Snow Festival next month as usual.

I think it's more likely to be a new outfit than a new doll, but if it's a Snow Miku design I wonder which Snow Miku it will be? If they're doing them in order, the next one is the Ichigo Shiromuku one: http://myfigurecollection.net/item/107714

Ironically that outfit would look more like the original design on the default miku DD than the snow miku DD.

However, note that last year they showed off the previously announced Ribbon Girl so it might not be Snow related at all - we may get to see the Deep Sea Girl outfit and the Rin/Len Daughter of/Servant of Evil completed too.

 

I'll be going to the snow fest myself on February 6th, which is also the first day of it. Hopefully I'll get to see it in person but I'm sure photos/news will find their way here before I do. Edit: Drat, Volks will actually be there from the 11th and I leave Sapporo before then. Guess I'll be waiting for reports too.

Besides the outfit the set comes with eyes, a magic wand and a Rabbit Yukine plush!

Oh man, I HOPE it's the 2013 outfit! That's one of my favorites, along with the snow drop one for 2015. (2014 was just cute instead of squee-worthy for me, and I wasn't into 2016's at all. This year's space Miku is pretty nice. I guess for me Snow Miku follows the Microsoft Curse?) But yeah, we'll see what happens.

I'd be in bigggg trouble if they released an Ichigo Shiromuku(Hell, even if they just released the outfit.) I'd do everything I could to get my hands on it/her! That Nendo is by far my favorite Miku ever.

Ohhhh if they make that snow miku outfit I would love it! I'd love any of the other stuff mentioned here too tbh.

I hope they do like they did with Santa Alter, release it as a doll and separate outfit sale. That way those of us with a Miku already don't have to get another if we don't want to just to get the outfit.

Ahh I really hope they do Ichigo Shiromuku! It's one of my favorite Snow Miku designs.

New blog post says there will be a limited number of both Snow Miku DDs and the fluffy coat set available for purchase on the online store and in the physical Sapporo store, from february 11-26.

 

They also tease that there will be something else a lot more amazing and surprising but wont say what it is yet, of course. 'It will definitely surprise you'. (then I hope its not just the completed Deep Sea Girl outfit because i personally find that kinda boring lol)

I hope they add some sort of "surprise" if it is the Deep Sea Girl Miku, her outfit is indeed bland and boring. I expect them to stick a $90 price tag just because "Miku".

Oh but who am I kidding, of course it's the 2017 outfit! I really can't wait to see more photos for this dress. It's so gorgeous!

I sadly don't own a Snow Miku, but I might still consider getting the outfit!

I'm so happy to see that it's the 2017 version as it's my favourite Snow Miku design! I love snow and I love constellations, this design combines both of those = so much love! ♥♥♥♥ I definitely need this outfit, I'm sure it would be super cute on Rin even if I don't have a Miku. x3

Had Volks mentioned if this will be a pre-order or will it only be available for Doll Party again? I really want this new outfit.

I'm REALLY happy, this is also my favourite outfit so far and I love that it looks more like the original winning design than the nendoroid of figma does (it has the constellations!!!) Also happy that it qualified as an actual surprise - I was just kind of bracing myself for Deep Sea Girl (nothing wrong with that outfit its just really not that exciting) and honestly didnt expect them to jump straight to the newest Snow Miku design after Fluffy Coat.

 

Just to clear up any confusion (just in case):

-It's the outfit, not an entire doll. Even though it would suit her a lot more, I dont think I want to get a Snow Miku myself because I already have regular Miku, but I might at least hunt down her wig. I'm definitely getting this outfit.

-@mizya, this outfit was the surprise they mentioned so its pretty unlikely there's anything else, Luka or not. (They already said before that there were two parts to the 'snow miku 2017' thing, one was reopening orders for snow miku and the fluffy coat, and the 2nd must be this. I'm personally hoping Luka gets announced at Magical Mirai in September - Rin and Len were originally announced at Magical Mirai 2015 after all.

 

I cant even find an official post on this anywhere - I first saw it on myfigurecollection - so I don't know if they've said about the release yet or not. If it is Dolpa it might be too early for Home Town Dolpa in March so if its not then it'd likely be the one in early May. (and it would still be available online after, just as clickwar)

Thanks! Was wondering why Volks havent posted about it themselves yet. It only says they'll be displaying it, nothing about the actual release. Maybe there will be more info from the 11th of february then (when the display starts). Still kinda bummed I leave Sapporo before the display starts (I thought it would have gone for the duration of the snow festival) but oh well.

 

Damn I cant wait to see a full body pic though, those shoes are gonna be so cute.

Ahman, I didn't need to see that. I know I have to buy the Kagamine Akuno outfits and those will be expensive (have to save), but damn, I do love this Snow outfit. I've only really like 2012, 2014, and this year's designs. But after getting burned on the Fluffy Coat, I have to say I'm very wary. But ahhhh it does look really pretty so far.

If it's just the outfit, I'm so going to pray to comes to Volks USA for pre-order. Like Torino I already have Miku, so have passed on Snow Miku (Still want her outfit and wig, just don't need another body and head.), but Miku looked fine in the Fluffy Coat and I'm sure she'll look fine in this too.

Yup, pretty much in the same boat, except I'm not totally bent on getting the official Snow Miku wig. There's not only a couple sites that have less-expensive knockoffs, but something shorter and/or with clip-in ponytails may well be worth getting just so it's less hassle. >.<

Saw this at work and screamed a little. I am beyond excited. Even if it was a whole other full doll I wouldn't mind (3 Mikus and 2 more planned for me) but I am a little weary. As others have said the whole Fluffy Coat debacle burned me out a little and I have been having an awful lot of issues with brand new from-site Volks products I've been ordering. Nearly all of them have some sort of issue.

 

Not going to kid myself, I'm probably going to purchase it either way. I hope it comes with a little bunny plush :3 The Red Riding Hood set came with that wolf, so we will see.

 

It's a complicated outfit and I expect it to cost me half a paycheck, but whatever. I'm excited ^_^

 

At least it's not Deep Sea Girl, eh? I think a few of us showed our bitter side there haha. And it's warranted.

Wow, how pretty! I can't wait to see more, how long do you think until Volks reveals the full outfit? Maybe not until they display it at the festival?

 

I'm glad they're doing this year's design, but I hope they don't abandon the older designs - especially years 2013-2015, which along with this year's design are my favorites.
