New Smart Doll Guy(Update: REVEALED + Tea ver!)

I hope this is a legit update now, but if it is true this time, oh no, my plans! Just when I got my new doll too, hahaha. Back to the saving up drawing board

Well, I've been e-mailing with Smart Doll (mostly with Alphond, but also got a reply from Danny) regarding the new boys - Eiji in particular - and it seems they have no set release date yet.

If I remember, according to Baldy's Trip to Japan thread. They are scheduled to be released this year. But Danny wants to sell off the older Eijis first before releasing the new ones.

Yes, I know that. But I was given a half promise they might be available in June in time for a con. Plus, they are listed as "low in stock" on the website.

According to Danny's twitter the new Crimson is going to be available this weekend and it sounds like the new torso/bust with 'headlights' and a longer neck will also be available. Personally I'm going for the torso/bust part for my old crimson. The neck always bothered me, so hopefully this new bust will look better.

I wonder if he will ever make the new Crimson head available too? I do like the newer head better, but I wouldn't want to have to buy a whole new doll just for the new face. ^^;

I think someone asked him this and he said he had no plans to offer the new heads separately. Although! You can try to email him(if you purchased a crimson) to see if he's willing to sell you the Crimson V2 head separately. I would try but I don't have the funds to buy a V2 Eiji head yet.

 

and ditto about the torso, I'm happy he's finally putting them up for sale. The short neck really bothers me since my SmD boy wears collared shirts/suits. Although I have to wait for the milk torso to go up for sale. ><

Yes, again, I know. I'm currently in contact with Alphond and Danny regarding Dokomi, so they've already confirmed this to me. I had hoped I would be able to pick up the new Eiji there, but I'll have to settle for some clothes and accessories instead.

Had a mini heart attack when I saw on Twitter that Crimson (Kai) V2 would be released. But considering that he is waiting for the stock to sell out first, looks like my wallet is safe for now. I really wanted Eiji instead of Crimson. I really like the new torso piece, though. The neck really irked me out in the first release and I'm glad he has corrected it. It looks great!

 

I guess by the time Eiji V2 is released I'd have saved up enough, me thinks

Figures Danny would tweet about releasing the new Crimson a day after I finally make my first smart doll purchase(admittedly, just a set of girl hands and a request for some tea-skin vinyl chips to be added in xD). I was just telling their customer support staff(Alphond for me) that I was excited for his release and hoped to buy multiple heads if possible too. xD I still need more time to save up enough for him anyway so it's all good.

I was hoping that the Crimson bust/torso would be available today too. Oh well, I'll just have to keep waiting.

I always wanted original crimson... And this one is even better! He's gonna be my fox boy.

I will also be getting cocoa boy... probably not when he comes out... I'll have to wait to next year.... My doll purchase quota is filled for the year and now I have to save for the volks dolpa in LA......

If I were to guess, maybe a month? That's how long it took him to offer the Smart Doll bodies last year after he said he would sell them separately even though he was woking it long ago.
